One thing that I think that is somewhat important is having matching IG / twitter / fb / and youtube usernames that match the domain name. For example, lets say someone has the domain name supaflexxin.com and they want to develop / brand it
IMO, the branding looks much stronger when they have all of the social media usernames that match up with their company name ... so
facebook.com/supaflexxin
twitter.com/supaflexxin
instagram.com/supaflexxin
snap: supaflexxin
youtube.com/supaflexxin
gmail: [email protected] (may not be important since you can just use [email protected])
ETC. I feel like having to throw random numbers in devalues the brand a bit. like:
facebook.com/I_am_supaflexxin
instagram.com/SFlexxin
twitter.com/supaflexxin1
Of course, it won't always be possible to do this - especially with a 3 letter or short domains. I did random searches on 3,4 and 5 letter IG handles. A lot are taken ...
In these scenerios, I feel like the domainer can find a suffix or word to use after the 3 letters thats available on all platforms and use that to make all their handles match up.
How important do you personally think it is to have the social media links match up? Also, are there sites that you use where people sell or trade social media usernames?
