Hi Namepros, Brand new user and started doing research into domaining about 2 or 3 months ago. Joined the forum because it seemed wholesome and bustling:-D(love that). I'm really interested in generating some passive income from domain parking. Personally I would be aiming for $500-750 a month, is that possible? even realistic? if so what tools and tips would you recommend to get started? whats the most minimal investment for good revenues?

Regards, James

There is very little money in parking these days

My advice is you try selling domains. The will be a lot of people on here who can advise on parking better than I can though

DEVELOP YOUR DOMAINS. Parking is 5% to you, 95% to the parking company (All they do is put ads on it)

I think you should try to buy and sell domains firstly, and then you can learn how to park domain names well.

Ok thanks guys, ya @Sinh I've seen some of your threads in the liquid domains section. So if I start buying and selling, What types of domains would I aim for? where would I find them?

You should start from here NP first and from short names . COM.

Dont just go and buy names "you" are good think what companies will want

Check out namebio and dnjournal to see what type of names sell

Read this forum for at least a few months before regisreing any names and even then, buy 1 -5 names and try and sell them, then invest that back into more names, dont fall for the "excited new domainer" syndrome and register anything you think is valuable...remember you have to renew them every year so quality is better than quantity

Hand-regging names is not a good idea, buy decent exoiring names or email existing owners and look for bargains

Good luck

roger that.......i may have registered a couple though:banghead::banghead:. I stopped before it got out of hand. Where would be a good place to start with $200 for example, LLLLL.coms? LLLL.coms?

As mentioned by @gilescoley , please read the forum for few months. Looks like you have already bought/ registered few domain names. Do you mind disclosing those domain names over here?

LLLL for $200 would be a good buy. Make sure it's either a chinese or english premium or semi premium.

Usually go for $350-500 though, you'd make some money if you manage it

Brandable LLLLL's are very good

yea, invest in the LLLL.com's or sell 1 domain for $25000 and split it up into 12 months. lol.

ya i've got,
hiil.net
mkan.org
entercouponcode.com

all have pretty good estibot valuations, if your interested let me know cause i'd love to get rid of them. For brandable LLLLL.coms how would you determine the value for selling to other domainers? estibot? pronounceable? etc?

Hi James

highly unlikely to happen right away or for it to ever happen.

but it's possible, if you have enough capital and common sense, to invest in the right domains that will earn $$$ > $$$$ a month in parking.

best tip is keep reading, best tool is your brain.

Good Luck!

imo....
