You registered it today, the fact they decided to leave it unregistered is not a good sign for you.

$12,500 for a domain that is not an exact match of their name seems nuts. Ray (tldinvestors) sold the exact match goldenknights.tv for $7,500. At this amount I would assume they are the same buyer.

IMHO its actually better to own Knights.TV as well because most people will be referring to them as the Knights not the "Golden Knights" even though thats their actual name. Its actually a smart buy if they are the new owners, not only from a marketing standpoint but also in terms of type in traffic if they end up forwarding the domain to their emd .tv domain. It was a good sale for both buyer and seller.

While you're at it jet a letter off to all the tech savvy .IO domain users and let them know that its Indian Ocean and not an acronym for Input Output, or anything tech related for that matter.

That was my domain until it sold for $399 on Afternic. Congratulations to the seller!

Knights.tv was mine since Jun, 2010 and it was priced at $699 since then until I reduced it to $399 on Apr, 2016. It sold in Oct, 2016 for $399.
