HI Everyone,

My name's Diana, and I'm new to this type of forum. I am always running around trying to complete or keep up with ongoing projects. I need one of them to really work so I can make a living of sorts. For instance, it's almost 4 am, and I've been up all night. I've divided my time between figuring out what one pagers, landing pages, domain name flipping, parked domains, website sales, and so on. And guess what? Not one "project" is done, and that was the goal.

So I have a well established brick and mortar tile installation business for sale. It comes with a website and blog plus related profiles and social media accounts. It all did very well for years, but the owner retired early, and the sites for the most part have been neglected. Still showing up page one of Google though, and the phone calls to owner haven't stopped, so he said I can do what I want with all of it. I wanted to sell it as a package, but haven't the first clue. Plus everything would need work although it truly is a turn key business with work already a given. Then I thought I should just sell the domain and keep running the blog maybe doing some advertising for income.Any thoughts? I also have about 50 domain names. I'd like to sell them and they are listed, but in the mean time, should I park them and advertise? To who? So many questions!!!! See---I told you I was all over the place. I just need to start bringing in some chunks of money. I've worked really hard, and am on disability, at least for a little while and so trying to be self sufficient with some challenges for sure.

Any ideas would be great! Thanks so much.

Welcome to the forum Diana!

Go through different section of the forum. Now that you already own a decent number of domains, I would suggest you invest time in learning and testing sales technique, before buying anymore domains.

Welcome, I can vouch for namepros knowing very little about domains myself, this is a fine forum.

Hey there @options1 good luck with your projects! Maybe try to sell the "tile" site to the competition (they might be able to redirect traffic to their site)..

Welcome to Namepros, Diana!

Seems you have a lot on your plate and you're all over the place trying to get the ball rolling everywhere in a big hurry. I know the feeling intimately and sympathize. But it can't be done, not from a cold start. Domaining can be a breadwinner or a hobby / waste of money. You need to stop and think and get your priorities in order first. What's on first, who's on second and so on. Suggest prioritizing whatever can bring you some money the fastest. Unless some of the 50 domains you have on hand are so-called liquid names, the existing brick and mortar business seems most promising. Maybe keep it running? If that's not an option and you must sell, look to its competitors - some may be interested in taking over the business as a whole or selected assets like a well developed web presence / blog / existing client list / etc. This said, selling off a business is no trivial undertaking. Start Googling. Make friends at the local chamber of commerce. Find someone who's been around the block, meaning sold a business, and pick his/her brains. Good luck!
