I've been at sedo for a few years. I have a few domains all of which I registered for the first time. One accidentally is right next to a popular korean video website (different tld) and somehow it gets traffic from that.

I used to earn about $100 a month from that; it's now down to about $1 a day. Average day sees 500-1200 unique visits; click through rate is about 7%. The site has the default sedo parking page. Most traffic is from South Korea followed by US Australia and Japan.

Sedo pays about .02 per click through. Is that pretty much 'normal'? I started evaluating other parking locations and bodis and voodoo seemed to float to the top. I've tried to contact bodis with a few questions and the emails all bounced . That wasn't very encouraging...is bodis viable? One thing about sedo is that they have been stable.

Hello Outlands,
Well there has definitely been some downward pressure on $/click. I too have some S. Korean video related domains and have seen a slide in the last few years.
"Normal" is a function of many factors including the search history of the visitor (tailored ads) and competition for the keyword etc. But I see the same kind of 1 to 4 cent revenue for this type of traffic on the domains we own.
That being said I still prefer Parking Crew / day in day out - they are my defacto standard and on Above's platform they win the majority of the traffic. As a standalone I always try Parking Crew first. My experience with parking co changes is there is some patience required for the ads being delivered to optimize. There are exceptions and niches where Bodis is supposed to perform well. If you wish to sign up with ParkingCrew and care to use my affiliate link please PM me - doesn't affect your revenue and helps me a tiny bit. Regardless feel free to ask any questions. I can also give you the direct email to the business development director at ParkingCrew who can answer all your questions. Good luck with the move and let me know if you wish to sign up with PCrew.
Sincerely,
Jeff

Use Bodis internal ticket-system... don't send any emails.

ParkingCrew performs for me even better than Bodis... at least in ZeroClick-mode...

And forget about Sedo.

whatever you do be careful with above.com if you go through them like me...
I have all my dns on all registrars going to above.com cause from there I can redirect to any url (masked or unmasked) and to any park compny with 1 click of mouse... to me above.com is the ultimate in traffic redirecting manager.

but anyway my point is.. be careful with above.com cause I just learned literally couple weeks ago that if you have that maximier checkbox check for your folders, and then say you tell it to go to bodis or anywhere else.. well.. maximizer will do as it pleases and either show you direct ads and zero click ads if it so desires... and you never get to parking company after that... and no sale banner for domain etc.. it's all part of their whole "what brings most revenue scheme" whether maximizer does its own thing or lets the domain go to parking service.
kinda sucks, cause I need my dforsale banners.. so I just turn off mazimizer at all times. works perfect then

hope this helps
ciao

OK, thanks everyone. So far it looks like I've learned that bodis is still around, though imho it's pretty silly to have an email address for support on the support page, and have all the emails to it bounce; and that parkingcrew is a good option. I won't be doing anything exotic like using above, way over my head, but it is good to have the view into how things work for those of you that are really into this.

I sent many emails to support AT bodis.com in the past - and they never bounced.

I trust you that it worked for your test and that you use support AATT bodis.com regularly, but for me (I use gmail too) it did fail. First delay bound 24 Dec, final fail Dec 27.

In part

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

support AATT bodis.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: 52258637 DNS type 'mx' lookup of bodis.com responded with code SERVFAIL

Maybe it's fixed since then or maybe? Anyways good if they're still around.

Interesting. My dns is set to automatic at the router, and dns tests show four ip like 76.96.15.69 which is comcast. I can browse bodis.com, just the email failed, does that indicate a dns issue?

I will contact bodis about this via the thread.

Maybe, it doesn't resolve when sending via Gmail only... because Google uses its own DNS-resolver.
