Has anyone ever dropped a domain name and months later discovered that someone has acquired the name and developed it?

Excluding: mini-sites, blogs, landing pages.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
all the time.
This is actually quite common since there are a lot of people grabbing domains from the drops to create mini-sites, blogs, online shops, etc.

That just means someone made the same mistakes you did.

When I see domains I've let drop picked up by a reseller who slaps a huge price on them, I chuckle.

Thanks for that I guess???? Lol

Debtshred I thought was a pretty sweet brandable which is why the ask is at $28k now. Someone grabbed it after I let it drop and never let it expire

Sometimes the new owner benefits from the mistakes made by the previous owner.

I make it a point to never check on any domain I drop as I hate to be wrong or make mistakes.

Ignorance is bliss! If I don't know they are developed, I won't be upset.

I won't go back to see his fall under the domain name, if they are for my own love, I will always hold, wait until the rich investment do product or business project together with others

It looks like even X.com dropped twice. I wonder what the renewal is...

But buying TGOR.com isn't a bad name or a mistake from the new owner.

Hate to bring up this old dead thread. had to input. I regged TGOR.com back in the day when I use to go to those "fast and furious" car shows called HIN (Hot Import Nights!)

TGOR.com stood for The God of Racing! lol

what we think of when we were young! lol

never knew the Chinese were coming! damn!

I wonder what else TGOR could stand for? lol
