This story starts with DNF; a barren wasteland that once was a leading forum within the domain industry. While the forum itself played a huge role in propagating the myth that is Adam Dicker, the story really begins with DNF College in the summer of 2011.

Updates / Reports
These are in no particular order.

From what I understand, Adam still owes north of $33,000 to previous customers and business partners. As I receive more information, I will update this figure.

I am thankful SB brought this to our attention or i may have been a victim myself. I was really considering one of his packages. I think future domainers should be aware of Adam Dicker.com and his false claims, lies and theft of people's money, as he continues to do business, promising services he doesn't provide.
Is there some sort of statute of limitations that i am unaware about in this business?

With SB no longer on this site, this thread is effectively over
This thread should probably be locked now that the OP isn't a member here though?
I wanted to like your post but I dislike the first and last sentence because this thread has never been about SB. It's about those affected and @carob is right that it should stay open.

AD had the 'reputation repair' niche cornered. SB is trying to build a 'branding' business. Neither will be happy with the first page of Google results for their name.

One couldn't repair their own reputation and didn't understand the concept of damage limitation, the other pretty much just found a bridge and jumped off of it.

Perhaps SB needs to employ AD to try and repair his reputation, but with AD's record of taking money and not providing any services SB should pay him by providing AD with his rebranding services. :xf.cool:

It wasn't a criticism of SB, just an observation that he must be thinking that it wasn't worth it for him personally. He must wish that he'd never got involved.

Well, he's the guy who should be speaking at domainer conventions, certainly not Dicker, not Ron Jackson, and you can keep Rick Schwartz off the stage too. Lots of bad judgement and advice at past conventions.

I quit domaining almost a year ago, I couldn't give a damn who speaks at conventions.

The ultimate lesson to be learnt from this thread is that when you are a few years off retirement you can, if you don't value pride or integrity, just steal yourself a pension without any consequences. No criminal record, no lawsuits, not even a divorce. Just get yourself filthy rich, change your name at 55 and hit the cruise ships.

I'd be surprised if this thread didn't create a few Adam Dicker's of the future to be honest. Unfortunately nobody had the balls to actually go to the authorities or sue, so he gets away with it doesn't he. Crime pays, evidently.

I read somewhere some people were going to sue. Don't know the outcome.

Are you kidding. Balls have nothing to do with following through... When you take people for 500 to 3000 and that could be hundreds and probably is. Who is going to pursue that , when the lawyer charges you more than that. Come on, get serious. He knew exactly what he was doing each and every time by keeping charges at that price range. This thread should be alive as long as that crook is operating anywhere. Had he had the BALLS to satisfy these people, there would be a lot different perspective. By the way I personally turned him into the fraud department and internet fraud with the FBI and I know several people that did the same. Also turned this in to the AG and at least made an effort to keep this alive and well, so dont tell me people dont have balls! https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx , http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/scams-fraudes/rep-sig-eng.htm .... Feel free to post up NO BALLS people... and to all those that have, congratulations to at least taking the time to do it.... You have to start somewhere and the RCMP and FBI links are a start. Forget losing the money at this point, you are not getting it back, thats obvious, that is not the purpose, just keeping the next person from giving him a dime should be everyones goal... on here or anywhere else like http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/specific_search/adam dicker

Me: "he gets away with it doesn't he. Crime pays, evidently"

You: "Are you kidding?"

No I'm not kidding, he still has all the cash. In his mind he has won. Most people wouldn't consider this a victory, because they value their integrity and reputation above their bank balance. He has got away with it thus far, and if I were a betting man I wouldn't bet on that changing any time soon. Would you? That's my very simple point, and you don't appear to have countered it with anything that would make me change my position.

You: "Also turned this in to the AG and at least made an effort to keep this alive and well"

Well good for you mate, but please don't understate my own efforts early on this thread. My input into this thread stopped when I was the only person who never claimed to be owed money - other than Shane Bellone - to receive a letter from Adam Dicker's lawyer, so clearly I'd ruffled some feathers somewhere along the line. Feel free to re-read the first 100 pages of this thread for reference.

Your input means absolutely nothing at this point..

In there you had some very valuable and eye-opening input about how the advertising Dicker was trying to sell on DNF was too good to be true.

One of a number of glaring examples of Dicker being too good to be true or just not true - they were not hard to find once anyone spent an hour really looking.

Speaking of balls, when are the people who gave Dicker those Developer of the Year awards going to publicly rescind them? And send out press releases saying they have done so?

A friend of mine new to domaining was watching Sherpa show and getting advice from Dicker
I since told him to just come on this Forum

Which is my point. The whole thread hasn't achieved much has it. If you took a step back and looked at this a little more rationally you wouldn't realise that we both desire the same thing, and that neither of us got what we desired, which was Dicker being held to account. This thread was a massive anti-climax.

It does serve as a valuable reference point for the diligent, to save some from losing their money, but I've never argued for this thread to be deleted, in fact I've stated numerous times that it should never be deleted - so if that's your argument, then you are preaching to the choir.

There are literally people on this thread who still support Dicker. Direct your ire towards them, and leave me alone, we are on the same side of the line when it comes to what we consider morally acceptable behaviour. Go and pick a fight with somebody who wants one.

Want to know how we all know that is BS?

Wow, cant believe this thread is still going on!

Got to say i could see through BS but thats life experience. He did broker a few names for me and i paid the commission to him, so no problems with me.

As you know domaining is full of BS inflation & bravado and does attract easy pickings for the more seasoned domainer.

Again you stated NO BALLS and that is an absolute slam to the people that have pursued it.. Know your facts before you accuse people of not following through

http://dnjail.com/adam-dicker-in-dnjail/ Looks like Adam Dicker is finally in jail.

Great post. Love it. Just remember there are also other industry "experts" who continued to cozy up to Dicker even while others were complaining about Dicker's shenanigans dating back to the early 2000s. But they pretended the whistle blowers were exaggerating, and felt the need to suck up to Dicker instead of holding his feet to the fire. Ron Jackson comes to mind here. But go ahead, keep reading DNJournal. After all, it's the self-proclaimed 'Domain Industry News Magazine'. Kinda makes me want to throw up.
