.club .Club Showcase and Discussion Thread

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
With the recent popularity and domination of the new gTLD registrations in the .Club extension, it's appropriate to get a showcase and discussion thread going for the extension. Use this thread to showcase .Club domains you invested in, Discuss .Club, and point out record breaking .Club sales.

I'll get things started by showing off our new .Club that redirects back to NamePros ::: DomainName.Club ::::

What .Clubs have you guys and gals invested in?
Any great .Club news that others should be aware of?
What are some (Verifiable) mind blowing .club sales you've seen?
How much are you enjoying your new .club?
Know of any developed .Clubs that look cool?

....
Remember we no longer recapture any names on the drop. It's a completely open drop.
....

Not for all names...
Days ago expired
- deutschland.club, you've set $ 1700 price
- creatives.club, you've set $ 300 price
- exist.club, you've set $ 310 price
Why?
If you've decided to open drop, all dropped names must to have a reg fee price.
It is incorrect some names released at regular price and the "premium" names at higher price.
This is not an open drop.
Open drop means ALL names will be released at regular price.

Really need to stop registering gTLDs, however, I could not pass up these countries in .CLUB for $0.85; figure someone will want them for more than I paid.

Countires
  • SaintVincent.club
  • NewCaledonia.club
  • AmericanSamoa.club
  • FrenchGuiana.club
  • FrenchPolynesia.club

Just fyi .club registry restart to recapture all good domains expired.
Their "open drop" policy run only for 1 month.
I don't really understand why, but this is an unfair game.
Domainers are not stupids, if registry said "open drop" must be an open drop. Otherwise they do not make a good impression (it's not a serious behavior).
Please check these domains expired in the last days, all recaptured by registry and premium price tag.

- panel.club $ 130
- growing.club $ 849.66
- refresh.club $ 4209.66
- belong.club $ 309.66

If they act in this way they lost credibility.
Domainers warned.

MPLS,

.CLUB has moved to an "open drop". We do not and have not recaptured any names after Oct. 1st. You are incorrect. I would even back that statement up by offering those names to you for free if you can prove they were somehow recaptured by the registry. I personally mandated that the company and the staff were not to reserve any names after Oct. 1st. and I believe that to be the case.

It is well within the rights of the registry to recapture names and we did do that as practice prior to Oct. 1st. to support the initial marketing launch however given our success we no longer believe we need to do that but instead believe in supporting domainers and a strong after market. I can tell you I check Landrush.club every day where LLL, NNN, NNNN,NNNNN sell out from the drop daily. These names continue to rise in price in China yet we let everyone go. Single words will also get snapped up. We will likely leave the "open drop" in place however if that status should ever change for whatever reason I will be happy to inform the group.

If you could share your findings with this group with respect to those 4 names, that would be appreciated.

Colin

@Colin Campbell I have seem the same thing as @mpls on club names that were "supposed" to drop

If you search the whois for one of the 4 domains he listed, it says no whois exists and the domain is available for purchase....with a larger price. So what is the explanation for that if the registry is not holding them back?

Hi Colin, thanks for reply.

Unfortunately, what I said in my previous message is the truth.

These names were recaptured by registry and tagged with a premium price:

- deutschland.club, expired on November, 20 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 1,700 at the exact time of the drop

- creatives.club, expired on November, 22 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 310 at the exact time of the drop

- exist.club, expired on November, 26 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 310 at the exact time of the drop

- panel.club expired on November, 29 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 130 at the exact time of the drop

- growing.club expired on November, 30 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 849.66 at the exact time of the drop

- refresh.club expired on November, 30 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 4209.66 at the exact time of the drop

- belong.club expired on December, 01 2016 was recaptured by registry and priced $ 309.66 at the exact time of the drop

Reserve names or release them on the market (but) with a premium price tag is the same.

Simply it's not an open drop. Open drop means ALL names released at reg fee price.

These names were probably premiums to start with, so they have simply been dropped and no-one registered them, so they're available for registration at the same price that they've been all along.
I don't know if this still falls under the definition of 'open drop'.

.club registry definitely recapture and reserve all good domain expired.
They don't apply their, much publicized, "open drop" policy.
Here a fresh example (another) for domain zone.club.
Domain: zone.club, status: Pending delete.
Please check expireddomains.net

zone1.png

And at the exact moment domain expire....................

I kindly ask to .club registry to be clear.
It's no fun to spend hours and hours of work to scan pending delete domains, because is an "open drop" and systematically discover that the best domains are reserved.
Please be clear, because domainers spend their precious time (money) for nothing.
I'm very disappointed.

I asked my operations staff to confirm each name. Again we don't recapture names in the drop after Oct.1st. The only exception would be if they were registry owned names. Names registered by the general public and that are dropped are not recaptured.

Below is my staffs response.

Each of these domains are in Tier Price system and were added last round. They expired prior to Oct 1st as you can see below.

- deutschland.club, T6 – expiry 9/2/16

- creatives.club - T7 – expiry 9/6/16

- exist.club, - T7 – expiry 9/10/16

- panel.club - T8 – expiry 9/13/16

- growing.club - T7 – expiry 9/13/16

- refresh.club – T4 – expiry 9/15/16

- belong.club - T7 – expiry 9/15/16
