On last Friday, there was a domain name auction session in Chenzhou, Hunan Provice was held by 190.com. And many premium domains were auctioned for good price. We will list them, but just for reference.

KD.com was auctioned for ¥6.49m CNY (approximately $930k USD). It was acquired about $750k by a Chinese domainer in 2015.

Pig.com was auctioned for ¥3.96m CNY (approximately $568k USD).

H.com.cn was auctioned for ¥2m CNY (approximately $287k USD).

Zhengrong.com (means plastic surgery in Chinese) was auctioned for ¥350,000 CNY (approximately $50k USD).

986.com was auctioned for ¥2.96m CNY (approximately $425k USD).

Zhouheiya.com was auctioned for ¥780,000 CNY (approximately $112k USD). Zhouheiya is a Chinese food company, their current domain name is zhouheiya.cn. That’s why zhouheiya.com’s price so high.

Wxh.com was auctioned for ¥375,000 CNY (approximately $53k USD).

Xtw.com was auctioned for ¥385,000 CNY (approximately $55k USD).

Nuan.com (means warm in Chinese) was auctioned for ¥640,000 CNY (approximately $92k USD).

OTHERS

According to Chaomi.cc’s data, from Dec. 16th to 18th, the total sales volume was 16967, and the total sales turnover was ¥7,355,094 CNY (approximately $1.05m USD).

930k seems a bit light for KD.. I think that was a good investment Chinese or not. I could be bias one of my favorite BBQ places is KD's BBQ :)

Pig.com used to be owned by Adam Dicker. He prevailed in a UDRP attempt in 2007

...and sold it for 125k in 2010

From $125k to $568k in 6 years. That's some nice appreciation. .com is continuing to gain value.

Cynthia in seeing the trends you post here we're doing our best if we buy a pinyin .com to also get the .cn if we can. An example is we own shengriheka.com ( "Birthday Card") but were also able to get the .cn for this long term hold for us. ( just in case Hallmark happens to send us an email lol).
