The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Offer to transfer the name(s) to them.

If they dont want to pay for transfer, have them set up an account at your registrar and push it to them (to destination account whois info)

NOt a rookie move on your part....
Do believe some time back, you pooh-poohed the idea that any realtor or realtor org. would come after you for regging domains.

Its best not to poke a wasp nest. I'd chalk it up as a cheap lesson and move on.

Was it realtor?

I think it was something else. To be honest I did not even think about the realtor TM on this one.

So I doubt I would have made that comment with such confidence . Maybe another keyword that I figured had multiple uses.

This realtor thing was a rookie move as its clear as day now that there is no other use for this word .

I was looking for a "real estate angle" for bitcoins.

Seeing as how sites are popping up that cater to people who are interested in buying real estate with bitcoins.

Realtors was just an eventuality. It was only about 6/7 domains. I did get other real estate bitcoin domains. So that should cover this mistake . Still though would be nice to get money back.

You won't
And folks don't register names that contain the word realtor.
If you do don't expect them to pay you for their troubles

I'm wondering though if Mike Mann might be interested ? Or am I liable for selling him these domains?

He seems to enjoy a good TM battle.

He's owned and sold several TM issue domains for big bucks.

Just give it to them, or delete it from your account, it only cost reg-fee so no big loss.

Don't show any bad faith by trying to sell it to anyone.

Ok this is odd. Wanted to check whois to see when I reg these domains.

Accidentally looked up bitcoinrealtor.com and it's taken since 2013????

But it has privacy?

Did I get this cease and desist because i did not get privacy?

Couldn't realtor association go after bitcoin realtor.com. owner too?

Maybe I should have gotten privacy?

Also lol just realized got these realtor domains via $1.99 special on domain.com

So yea delete! Lol

But before that

Any way to turn this mistake into a win?

The registrar will give up the contact info to a lawyer with a TM claim every time :)

Been there. I have shared with several other members my experience with R**ltor TM. They just want you to cancel it or drop it if expiring soon. Nothing else.

Delete from your account or give it to them. Anything else is asking for a headache IMO.

Post the name and give it free to the member that you don't like.

Any explanation to why we see UDRPs against "Privacy Administration" WhoIS infos from time to time?

haha...yea, best to drop the domains. The word was created by the association, it's a term they own.

There are many examples that support the questioning and sometimes even challenging trademark claims, this ISN'T one of them.

The only moves you have: 1) become a licensed realtor, figure out how to utilize your bitcoin-themed realtor domains under your license, or 2) drop the domains and walk away without issue.
IMO...but what do I know, I'm just a chimp.

Good luck.

That I'm not a registered "realtor" so there for I can use that moniker.

So I was wondering. Could I go back to them and say

" Can I sell it to a realtor then? Since I'm not one?"
