Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Picked up HempHoney...

Love this name. Pairs well with the cbd version.

With all the junk regs being posted lately, it's nice to see a quality name profiled.

Top notch, as always. Congrats!

And a lot of people feared that the U.S election might spell trouble for marijuana. No matter what your politics are, it looks like marijuana will continue to become a good investment. lol

Those people either don't live in The US, or don't know the mj industry. Some states may be slow to legalize, but on the whole, that train left the station years ago. No stopping it now, but rather, only delaying the inevitable, IMO.

Oh, many of those people do live in the U.S. Many states won't jump on the train for many years in my opinion.

If it ever gets legalized federally, that would really help.

While it is unlikely to fit into the agenda of the upcoming administration, I think it will happen eventually.

Not sure why you think voters were fearful about marijuana. When it's put to vote it either passes, or better luck next time.

Indeed it's likely going to be a long time before nationwide legalization is realized. In the end, be it another ten years, less, or even more, sooner or later the rest will follow suit, IMO. Most states can't afford not to. Time will tell.

The majority of the west coast did not appear to be fearful about marijuana. However, you don't have to look far to see what names marijuana supporters are being called in some states. Even President-elect Trump distanced himself from the issue saying that it needs to be a "state-by-state issue." This is true because while some of his supporters do support marijuana, others are strongly against it, often citing religious reasons.

For now, I think it's good for marijuana legalization to remain a state-by-state issue. Unlike other issues which have been politicized and divided into parties, it seems like marijuana legalization has support from both ends (left and right). So, let's not ruin what little people can agree on by bringing this to the national stage. I fear, that like most issues that are brought to the national level, it'll become party-based. By that point, all hope is lost.

Lol...such doom and gloom. It's marijuana, not crack.

It will be interesting to watch it all unfold and develop over the years, along with CBD, and Hemp.

once the new Government views the potential taxation dollars involved they may see the light.

Denver residents can soon smoke marijuana in certain bars and restaurants — a first in the US

The Denver Post is reporting that the nation's most pot-friendly city has passed Initiative 300, a measure that will allow businesses to apply for permits that grant marijuana "consumption areas" onsite.
The bill clears a path for people to smoke in Denver coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and even yoga studios with special permitting.

@Keith - you have some nice "cafe" names, right? 420cafe and cannacafe? Cannacafe is so lovely......

I have these:

CannaYoga
710Bar
ConsumptionAreas
couple others with canna I can't remember right now

Guys,

Are Geo(Mid to Large Cities) + Dispensary .com worth holding?

Thanks

Hard to say without knowing the city, but typically dispensary is among the stronger keywords.

If the cities are in a legal, or soon to be, legal state, probably worth keeping, IMO.

Personally, I like the geo+keyword domains. I have picked up some hand regs when I see a good, cheap .com sale going on. I don't really know how great they sell, though. Unfortunately, it may be a little while until mine sell, if they sell. (I am in the process of selling 1 geo domain now, though. I'll give some details after all is finalized.)

I picked up doobiedude.com a few months back... then I looked into it... "doobie Dude" was from BC and sold a lot of weed via DHL until he got shut down and was ripping Folks off.
