discuss Are ALL pronounceable 5 letter domain names worth more than reg fee?

I see this thread caused some discussion during the weekend

It seems there is almost a 50/50 vote on whether or not all 5 letter domain names are worth more than reg fee.

I tried to piece together a 5 letter domain appraisal checklist from this thread:

A 5 letter domain may be worth more if it:

* is a .com
* has 5 letters
* consists of dictionary word(s)
* gives useful meaning (google it)
* is pronouncable
* is "acronymable" (check http://www.acronymfinder.com/)
* is abbreviation for something useful
* is brandable

Is there other criteria you use before purchasing these?

I wonder how you get offers on these non-existing words already. Do these end users contact you somehow or you simply list on marketplaces? Or you do Brandbucketing? Just wondering. Cos I like this idea and I wish to follow suit.

Not the best but a decent name. I'd hold that one.

What the hell is really going on with the 5L market? Lately there is a lot of people registering some pretty crappy pronounceable 5Ls. These are the ones that a year and a half ago were the absolute bottom of the barrel junk names that nobody would ever register.

Is any pronounceable 5L really worth something now or are people just registering them hoping to cash in a cheap lottery ticket?

I read somewhere that all pronounceable 5Ls are worth at least 25 bucks and somewhere else I read they are worth at least 75 bucks. Most registrations I have seen lately are worth crap in my opinion.

Do companies really want any random pronounceable 5L just because it's short?

What am I missing?

I have Termz.com on Flippa right and it's currently getting bids.

This is a premium 5L.com, so let's see where it goes.

It should give a good indication on where the reseller market stands.

I agree, I like calculated risks and flippa is risky (from my experience) for this kind of brandable domain.

I picked it up when I learned that if you spin it upside down, it reads world. PIJOM world. I've tried to develop a game based on the idea of turning the world upside down, a spherical jenga type of game, but it hasn't worked out. Now I'm just wondering if it's worth selling.
