Hi all,

Ive a few domain names related to Pokemon one of them pretty strong GO wise I know I know. I bought them before I knew better, thanks to namepros I now know better, I tried contacting Pokemon to give them the names, I not looking for anything, its just an expensive lesson learned, that wont be repeated again, but I got no response from email or twitter.

What can I do now? Is it possible just to let them expire? Or can I just delete them altogether from godaddy?
And hope they wont stick a lawyer on me.

  • Just made a check at UDRPsearch dot com website and found some results for the mentioned TM phrase

As I know, as long as you're not using it, you're legit

Nope, once you register a domain you have to pay and renew it forever.

Unless of course they sue you...you definitely don't want to get sued by a large company, because they have far more money and lawyers then you. It can turn into a very expensive experience.

^^^ and this is what I dont want to happen. Can I just delete them from my godaddy account so my name is not even associated with it.
Or because I first regged the name, my name will automatically be associated with this domain for forever and a day.

go in your GoDaddy domain panel
on the toolbar, there is a button named 'more'
click on that button and look down the menu. You will see a 'delete domain' option

Just remember that there are many sites that store historical whois info. So anyone can easily search who previously owned it, even after it is deleted.
