Hello All,

Was doing search to hand reg domains and found .es is available to register in most niches... Does it has value?

I see that .ca, .us, .de, .co.uk, .org, .eu, and even .host, .tech, .top, .pw are taken... But still .es seems to be available...

Any reason?

Regards

.es is for Spain, so if you are looking at English words it would make sense that many would be available in that extension.

OK.. So reg'ing english words in .es is useless?

For .es, it's a real pain in the *ss to transfer names or even modify the whois. I would say this a big reason why you will find so much availabilty.

If English hac.ks - No.
If just English keyword.es - Yes, demand is very very weak here...
I searched for many english keywords and most of them seems to be available, but wherein .host, .pw, .bid, .trade all such extensions were already registered..

All English hac.ks that I have checked - are taken in .ES
Example: pric.es

Yes thats taken.. But

Keyword.es is still available (keyword refers to english/2english word)..

But the stuffs like .pw, .host, .trade etc etc etc all taken.. This is the case with many words and important niches...

They are available because only Spanish.es has actual demand among endusers...

~ the same situation in .DE
German.de only in 95-99% of cases.

But do you say .es has a value and many spanish invest in domaining ?

I don't know how heavily their domainers invest...
But at least 3-figure enduser-demand on Spanish.es exists definitely.
