New Registration and Transfer .COM Domain Just $0.96/yr, No limits?

When I used them I was just modifying the A record to point the domain away from them.

The nameservers will be the least of your problems with them if you don't pay. The .es transfers don't assume the use of auth-codes and you can transfer instantly from one registrar to another so I transferred one .es out without them basically adding 2 years to the registration, but requesting that I pay them 2nd year which I never used as per their shitty terms. I told them I would do that only if they add one year more to the domain I transferred out already (which obviously they couldn't) or give me a different domain under same terms. They refused and I refused to pay 2nd year. One month later I got a letter informing me that my 4.20 euros debt had been given to a debt collection company so I paid the damn thing eventually and took a loss there.
They have good offers, but you always have to be careful with them. If they give 24 hour terms you should never transfer out until they add the 2nd year to your registration.

This did not work for me. I have ordered a domain, but there is no domain, but rather hosting for 1 domain. This doesn't provide much help. I have plenty of hosting, I just want a cheap .com reg!!!

To bad you never read this thread before you went wasted your time and money. Pretty obvious to me from reading above stay away

Oh, but you can buy from them alright for as long as you comply with their fine print you're good :D

Looks like classic bait & switch. Advertise $0.96, book $8.51. If no complaint from client, charge the card. Client complaining? No charge, no domain. Next, please...

Don't know when or where I'd heard of Strato, but alarm bells started ringing in my head the moment I saw the first post above

Yea, I will never use a credit for new company or for the first try.

I can't even access their website from my country. It's said "access denied". :D

@ET76 I always use prepaid debit cards with little cash amounts on them or Entropay virtual CC.
