I wonder why the parking revenue has declined for so many people here
for me its only 30% of what it was 2 years ago
- decline 70% -

in google adwords - those campaigns have become very expensive in the same time frame - so I would expect the revenue to rise - but it declines

is the true for you too?
what do you think may be the reason?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
A big reason why it is declining is because of software ad-ons such as adblockers blocking out PPC ads.

It is just the way it is. If you can redirect all your traffic to an affiliate program that is the way to go. In the end CPA or whatever you want to call it really tells the quality of traffic that your sending to companies.

Ads will still make money as long as people are buying content adwords on google. Once they stop doing this it is going to get ugly. But that won't happen for years.

Back in the day there was blatant fraud, I still remember those scammers posting on the forums or contacting domainers by PM to purchase parking accounts. Scary.
Arbitrage too.

if I would own a parking network trying to max my profits
I would always ensure
that domains using the
above system
would always perform at max profit for the domain owner
as I would want that traffic
above losing it to the other parking companies

Some ads are whitelisted by adblockers which is interesting. There's only a few major players in the adblock game so it might be worth a collective push to bombard their respective support forums asking for a whitelist of parking PPC. If Google adwords is good enough to be whitelisted, there's no reason why their PPC feed shouldn' be either. i.e getadblock.com now has adwords whitelisted.

you are more or less trolling
as the reason is not the adblockers

as I have clickthrough rates of 20% to 250%
there for me is no option that an adblocker caused the decline

I'm going to assume you're saying this to Donnyd. He might be wrong in your case but overall he's right.

My guess is that your domain is in a niche where users aren't very tech savvy?

FYI that's not the @Donny you're thinking of.

Trolling? Was that for me because that is first?

IMO CTR is overrated, all that matters is how much your getting paid per click.

You can have a 100% CTR but if your not converting after the click then it does not really matter. What matters is how much your getting paid at the end of the day after they go through the 2nd page lander.

Take for example if your using adwords, if you have 20% CTR on a keyword yet your website gets no conversions "AKA sales" Then it really does not matter because your not making money.

They would not click if there was no ads

Like I said, its a black box. Not sure exactly what happens inside. There is no independent auditing of figures to ensure all figures are accurate, etc. I doubt this will change. In the end, selling domains is much more lucrative - IMO.

Is that because of low CTR?

average per day at pc:
126 hits 12.5 clicks 9.91% CTR 0.14 epc 13.53 RPM $1.71 USD income

average per day at bodis:
167 hits 1,5 clicks 17.6% CTR 0.11 epc 1.88 RPM $0.29 USD income

average per day at voodoo:
9 hits 3,8 clicks 2.19% CTR 0.09 epc 19.41 RPM $0.17 USD income

average per day at sedo:
19.5 hits 0,7 clicks 3.56% CTR 0.29 epc 10.27 RPM $0.40 USD income

there was the days when I had $6000 usd / month parking ...

The guys who make X,XXX USD per day have more representative pool. If somebody is making 0 - XXX USD per day only, his pool is not big enough and clicks are normally fully random from my experience. Even I get on some domains some days 50 - 60 USD RPC and on a "Bad" day 0.01 - 0.07 USD. So it really depends what users search when they land on a parked page, even when 100% visitors are from US.

and this really can't be

if the feed is adwords
then impossible to get 1 cent clicks

if the feed is not adwords
then they waste traffic on that domain
