Hi, what's your experience with type-in traffic from new gTLDs? I don't mean parking revenue but sending traffic from a domain directly to a matching sponsorship/commission program.

Is the quality of the traffic worth it and at what quantity does it make sense?

Thanks and enjoy your weekend,

Brandon

~0 nTLD-traffic for me...

Really zero? For all your domains?

I have a couple of highly specialized new extension domains that get good type-in traffic. I think they should do well if linked individually to different sponsorship/commission programs. I wanted to give one domain a try anyway. I will share the results here.

Thanks,
Brandon

Don't use Sedo...
Their bots-filtering is awful... the most accurate is ParkingCrew in terms of human trafiic.

I use bodis, parking from sedo is very bad, agree with you.
I talk about number of views on sedo "offer page", where you can place bid/buy domain/have more infos about domain or seller.
It's a good stat to understand the quality of domain, and newGTLD have 0 in all fields.

If the domain is NOT parked on Sedo - such offer-views are possible by another domainers only...
So ZERO is normal here.

ParkingCrew has offer-views stats as well.

But ~99% of Sedo-users are just another domainers, it is a fact.
And ~50% of all Sedo-sales are under $500, their own stats.

Well, my experience with type-in-traffic for my new gTLDs is modest at best but within an acceptable, expected range IMO.

I have several names in .com that I was able to acquire their matching counter-parts in an appropriate new extension. So I have a perspective with which to measure traffic numbers - I compare the .com traffic to the new gTLD counter - part's traffic.

The extensions are quite new and not as well publicized as I might like, so receiving " some " type - in- traffic is all right for now, their first year of registration.

Serious offers and sales for my new gTLDs have yet to materialize.
