Hello guys. I have a couple of domains that I d like to sell but I keep on reading about all the scams that scammers pull, charge backs and using fraudulent funds to scam a domain sellers. So I am kinda concerned about it. Just like topic says, I wanted to ask all you smart guys and gals out there, what is the safest and least expensive methods to receive funds for the domain sale?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think it would depend on a few factors..

Some of the things to take into consideration...

1.) The amount of the transaction
2.) What country you are from
3.) What country the buyer is from
4.) The buyers reputation (assuming he/she is from NP)

The amount of transaction is around $500
I am from USA and buyer will be from UK and one from Brazil
Buyer's reputation is unknown but all are business companies

In that case, considering they are a proper businesses then if it was me, I would use Paypal as payment method. I would send them a Paypal generated invoice stipulating the terms of the sale in the Invoice description area and get them to pay using the invoice

Thats just to safe guard yourself should they lodge a dispute or charge back

Why don't you try Escrow?

Use Escrow.com and put all the fee on buyer's head. That's what I do and it works 99% of the time.

Guys, thank you for suggestions. PayPal is out of the question because afore mentioned illegal payments. I used to sell stuff on ebay and got burned several times by those who pay with paypal and then reverse charge through a credit card company. Thanks again. I think Im gonna look in to the escrow.
