Hello,

Please help me with this question.

Suppose I own a domain Name "JustExample.Com" and i want to offer a italian company who is using "JustExample.it" to buy the domain.

In which language should I write the E-mail, Italian or English? Because the buyer may not understand English and I do not know to write in Italian.

Thanks.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I think the domain name speaks for itself, better than the sales pitch imo.
If there is any interest on their end, they will use google translate.

Be very simple. Justexample.com is for sale. Are you interested?

They will understand.

if their extension is .it and they are in Italy, then i doubt they are interested in .com

as they could have went after the name before you, if they wanted it.

if their website is only in Italian with no language converter on the site, then it's probably a local company.

but if you must solicit them, communicate in English.

imo...

Suggest being brief and to the point in your initial outbound and using both languages.

I would keep it short and send it in both languages.

I wouldn't send it in Italian. Just English. Sending it in 2 languages seems condescending..

That's an interesting point. I would add, if they already have an online presence in English, then English would be enough. If not, I would do it in both languages.
