Transferring an expired domain in "restoration" period?

I have a few domains with NS that I forgot to renew on time, they're no longer in "grace period" with standard renewal and are now in "restoration period" ($75 to renew it) - Can I still get the auth code to transfer the domain out during this time? I don't see an option on there to get it.

Is the actual EPP status "redemptionPeriod" or did the registrar tell you that? Some registrars, like GoDaddy, say you must "restore it" when it's not yet in that period.

Up until how long are registrars obligated to give you an auth code to transfer?

Redemption Grace Period

3.2. During the Redemption Grace Period, the registry must disable DNS resolution and prohibit attempted transfers of the registration. ICANN-approved bulk transfers and permitted partial bulk transfers are not subject to the prohibition of attempted transfers. The registry must also clearly indicate in its Whois result for the registration that it is in its Redemption Grace Period.

@tomcarl - You cannot transfer a domain in the Redemption Period. You must renew the domain first. You should be able to pay NS Redemption Fee to renew the domain. But I've never done that myself, so don't know what "wrinkles" NS might have in this process.
