I am only here since 2 weeks and yet I already have to leave you!

Before I went into domaining, I forgot to think about taxes and such. So I went to my local financial office today and asked about taxes. They told me, that since I am recieving state benefits, before we can go to taxes, I have to ask my work office for permission. And even if they give me permission to pursue domaining, I have to give the state most of my domaining income. I could keep about 100-200€ myself and have to give the rest to the state since I am on state benefits. So to make domaining worthwhile, I would have to generate like 1000€+ profits a month, to not recieve state benefits anymore. And even if, I still have to get a licenese and so on and so on.

So I will have to quit domaining until I found a job and thus do not recieve state benefits anymore! But I will not be gone forever, I will come back when that happens and start domaining again! In 3 years I should have finished college, so in 3 years I should have found a good paid job to not recieve state benefits anymore.

I thank you all for the help I have recieved so far.

And now I am scared that if I get the money from my auction here on NP on my paypal account, I could get into trouble :/

Good luck with school and stuff
Maybe you could develop sites for your domains or something in the mean time. if you want something to do

I think even if you are not buying and selling domains then stick around the forum and stay active in the community and learn, learn, learn...so when u are ready to start buying and selling domains then you would already learned a whole lot...

Also, you could look at accepting payment in bitcoin for ur domains and Namecheap.com accepts bitcoins as payment so you can even pay for ur domain registration in bitcoin with them.

I just thought about it and I have to live 6 years even on state benefits since I first have to do training for 3 years before having a job. And you dont earn enough with training to not live on state benefits.

So yeah, cant do domaining until the next 6 years. :( :( :(

Without the government my situation would be much worse. My mum is too sick to work, so we need state benefits to survive. I am glad I am having state benefits, it just suck that its hard to earn something along with state benefits.

Sorry to hear about your mum. And I wish you nothing but the best with your future plans.

I have decided to stick around and learn more about domaining, just not sell any domains :)

Great decision. I was going to miss our conversations in chat :)

Cant you buy and keep it for sometime before you sell?

Sure. But I would have to renew for the next 6 years then :D

Also, I hope this forum is around the next 6 years lol. Maybe if I earn enough in my job training I can get out of state benefits in 3 years already, but i doubt that.

That's an idea anyone in this situation should take advantage of.

I'd rather work and stay active while giving up most of my earned income and being able to keep enough for leisure than sit back training for work that may or may not come in 6 years when by then I'd know if I found new transferable knowledge, skills, and abilities attained from domaining (sales, marketing, analytics, developing, etc.). Stop using your mind that long and you'll lose it, forever depending on the state.

I'm not sugar coating this, just food for thought.

Good luck in the future though. :alien2:

If you live long enough, you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person. It's how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.

the best advice I have ever gotten is:

get advice where it's good
and not where it is available

often that means:
a great advice maybe not available for free

Stay in school. Stick around. And make One BIG Sale your hobby.
If it comes through, Great! Problem Solved. If not, the experience will train you to be a name pro.

Well, best wishes to you all and, no doubt your future educational - occupational endeavors can benefit long term from your on-line domaining education.

Good luck, keep reading and I do agree with @johname find one name and study development, that could be something that turns out to be a winner over time.

Yes, multiple people have already advised me to get a lawyer and ask him.

But do you people know how much a lawyer costs? Multiple hundred euros.

I dont have that money.

I am going to the Jobcenter and financial office on Monday again, because I have searched on the internet and it seems that it is easier than I thought to do this stuff, and that the financial office just didnt know what I mean or purposefully gave me bad advice.
