Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

NameSilo
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

I wonder if these are the guys who applied for the CasinoVR and VRPoker trademark?
https://uploadvr.com/casino-vr-poker-update-adds-in-app-purchases/

I saw a post on Reddit earlier about Casino VR Poker:-
https://www.reddit.com/r/GearVR/comments/4u7qq5/casino_vr_big_update/
Those folks had a press release last year when I decided I wanted some names in the space.
It is most likely them and was my first thought when I seen the post about the TM app.
Noticed that they currently are using .casino-vr.com
I'm sure we will see the root of it play out soon enough. 6 months.

So I still like the keyword ROOM with many experiences including this one,
hence vrpokerrooms, vrgamerooms

While I'm sure you all have herd of the Pok'emon Go craze.
I do think this is a important moment for VR/AR.
Especially when you think for the past 2 years, everyone has been asking what the KILLER APP was going to be and without a answer to that.
Well here it is.
It is the app that gets all the attention to "turn heads" and change/start a industry.
I'm already seeing a change in investments by many company's and they are looking at VR in a very big way just because of that one app and the reports that Apple will make 3B off it this year and it's a free app.
That would mean that it would take about a year for that new investment money to begin to turn into supported products & software.
But sooner could be the case for some since there are many dev's out there that are just waiting for the capital investment to get them rolling.
Just a educated observation.
You might very well be looking at the turning point for VR from a silly free phone app.

I understand and agree that may very well be a fact now, but many put that in a sharp dividing line when it comes to names keywords.
As I see it, in all the history of domaining, it is the consumer that determines what the keywords will be through search. SEO and advertising are based on it. And so the value of our VR names.
And while it may be technically incorrect to refer AR as VR, consumers do just that.
So I'm not talking the tech any further than it applies to domains. And I do not see AR ever surpassing VR as the most dominate keyword to describe any of it. Even if it is the more used format, which it most likely is, by the numbers of use, it's already there and was so before the Vive or the Rift hit the market. But I stopped buying the keyword 2 years ago when I realized this.
The domain world has been full of these technical discrepancy's as is normal speech habits.
Can you call a SUV a car ? or a Truck ? a automobile ? one is more specific to the consumer but not always what they call it.

But the point I was making in the other post was that the venture capital money that has been sitting on the side-lines just got a wake-up call when they started seeing "super returns of money" for a simple phone app that costs nothing to get in just a few weeks.
And it's going to change the bottom line for everyone involved in any way with it. Hence the new investment looks at who is doing what in VR & AR. A turning point. The venture capital is cutting loose now that they can see the money.

Very early!
No winner yet and im not sure there is only one winner.
We need to wait for killer apps to see how media and users are reffering to it.
VR advantage is the term history but the tech is so different that im almost positive the consumers will know the differences, at least until the devices will do both.

Just stating what I know from history and trends. Wishful thinking does not make me money.
This may help you with your history of products of the tech.

Yes i know about all that, and looking very clearly.
Just stating no AR/VR/MR device has been implemented in our society daily usage.
Even VR which is growing rapidly lately is an infant.
If you ask people around you(and ive tried) no one knows about VR AR MR.
Maybe a little Virtual reality.
Im covered all over actually and still feel there is no connection between VR domaining success and the other 2.
Its too different and we will have at least 2 categories in my opinion.

VR AR MR TR YR XR HR... Doesn't matter. All will fall under the VR umbrella. Whether you are completely immersed, (vr), or partially immersed, (ar/mr), these experiences are possible because of Virtualization. A VR experience will never be described as "AR" however, an AR experience is VR by its very nature.

Dont know about that, so far i sold one VR, one AR and refused offers for several MR so again money talks.

At the end, we cant predict the future, only assume.
Its gonna be real different in 5 years so we better be careful with our predictions lol

A simple Google search of VR and AR is all I need to see. No crystal ball here.
