Let me elaborate.
Lately I've been excited about some of my 2 keyword domains

Keyword+Keyword.com

My question is with 2 keyword domains does Google take into consideration the amount of monthly searches for JUST the FIRST keyword? or does thee entire Keyword+Keyword combo factor into the value of the domain?? Example:

TravelAgency.com - 2 keyword domains

Travel - Gets 1,220,000 searches per month.
Agency - 110,000 searches per month.
Travel Agency- gets 165,000 searches per month.

Obviously for a domainers benefit. A domainer will want only the keyword Travel to be of value in the domain because it gets searched more.

How would a domainer explain the value of this domain? because of just the keyword Travel? or thee entire domain "string" Travel+Agency?

It goes without saying that single keyword domains have more value.

I hope someone can explain this to me. I've always wondered. Thanks.

I'm confused by the question because it sounds like your mixing some things up, but:

1) Google doesn't take the number of monthly searches into consideration at all. That's a result, not a factor.
2) Partial matches in a domain are helpful. For example, JohnDoeWidgets.tld and WidgetsPodunk.tld can help their sites rank for "widget" keywords.
3) That said, the domain is only one of MANY things that factor into ranking. Content, backlinks, competition, the searchers location and recent search history are others. Bing still gives it more weight than Google.
4) if you're selling to a travel agent, that name is precisely targeted to their business, a non agent using that name would lose visitors quickly if the site doesn't match their expectations.

how come you think google would rank a domain?

Google has never ranked domains.

Google only ranks webpages.

If a domain is only parked, google doesn't want to know about it.

I was assuming the poster was asking something about how keywords in the domain affect rankings, but the question wasnt' very clear.

Ok I guess I wasn't being clear. and yes I am a bit missinformed. so apologies for that. Let me rephrase again.

forget google rank or whatever. let's talk domain value in 2 word domains.

some domains I've seen on Namebio and I'm sure you've all seen some in the past where the REAL "meat and potatoes" of the domain is just one keyword like Virtual, or Mobile or Chat or Casino or Bet or Travel. etc etc.

The second keyword usually at thee end doesn't really matter. but for example GEO keywords like World or planet or some city name whatever.

so my question is ....is there value in two keyword domains if only the first keyword is a highly searched keyword? or is the entire domain first and second keyword factor into it? Because some of my domains the second keyword at thee end isn't really a highly searched keyword say less than 200K searches per month as opposed to my first keyword which is in the millions per month.

I guess this would be useful info when hand-reg. I notice some people reg the domain where the first keyword of a two keyword domain has the highest searches per month and the second keyword doesn't. and they didn't bother getting the reverse of their domain.

is that because that second keyword is not highly searched?

Thanks for the help!

Probably depends on whether the 2 words make sense in the other order.
