NameSilo
Watch
Hi all!
I'm looking for the cheapest dedicated servers out there.
But it needs to be reliable also with at least 99% uptime.

my requirements are at least :
512MB DDRAM Memory
80GB Hard Drive
1,000GB Data Transfer
with Cpanel (free, not more $$ per month)
Linux Os
It can be lower than my requirements but not too much :)

Thanks in advanced.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Not to keep plugging their site but I always search aroung Webhostingtalk before looking for hosts. You have to be wary these days since anyone with $20 can get a Virtual server plan and call it a server...

dual 445? are you talking a 445 enterprise server with dual xeons.....lol . or old out dated pentium 2 processors?

If its the first one you are talking a 13k machine and there is no way you are getting it for 50 a month

Hi. My name is Joseph Smith. One of the partners of NeNet.Net. A little history of the company. The company was started by my partner is 1983 under the name genesis services as a computer and electronics sale and repair shop. In about 1996 we started offering dial-up internet access and purchased the name genesisnet.net and continued to sell and repair computers. We sold dedicated servers but only locally and our web site was primarily for the dial-up customers as genesisnet.net http://web.archive.org/web/19961222141435/http://genesisnet.net/
which was purchased by huntel communications.
http://web.archive.org/web/20040612114547/www.genesisnet.net/home/
And we began the new company Nebraska Networks. Also known as nenet.net. Until recently we still mainly targeted a local community for hosting and dedicated machines but we see a market for it therefore are beginning to offer dedicated servers to people world wide. I apologize for the mess of a page but it will be up soon with prices. We do have current customers for referrals. I can understand why anyone would be leary but if you question our integrity please ask for referrals. Thank you for your time.
We do offer very inexpensive low end servers for people starting out but if you do require high end servers we offer those as well. People can say anything about any company on the internet but if you try our services you will see that they are exactly as advertised.

And this explains it all. Inexpensive LOWEND servers

I don't know what you're trying to imply be emphasizing the word LOW END but we offer those servers to help people get started and they upgrade later. We do not offer these because we can only offer LOW END servers. We offer anything from 2.4ghz celerons all the way up to p4s and our prices on these systems range anywhere from "$50 dollars for a LOW END 2.4 celeron that 90% of hosting companys offer" and up. Thank you for your time.

Implying nothing just what you posted. nomis135 posted he got a Dual Intel 445 but did intel even make that? well according to their site they didnt that I can see. I know they made a 450. Instead of offering a email address why dont you post some additional information about what you offer here.

Such as what data center/centers you use
type of bandwidth packages
some of your lowend server specs (Celeron 2.4?) even a company such as managed.com dont offer this for 50 a month.
Cpanel included?
Are these fully Managed or self managed
what type of OS do you offer.

This may bring added bussiness to you . Sorry If I seem very weary about what you are saying. But I have seem many people get burned. And judging by this thread im not the only one

well my partner sells and repairs oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment such a signal generators, frequency counters and network analyzers so maybe he hasn't pointed tstequipment and o-scopes to his online store yet. cappcorner is the name of a cyber cafe who asked us to register a domain name for them for hosting and they are going to provide us with a page for their site so it was forwarded to a directory until they give us a page. It isn't forwarded to nenet.net but the dns points all the names to the same directory on the server however I think this is irrelevent because all 4 sites would have the same exact information. Can I ask what it is that you think is odd about that even if they were all our domain names? Have you never seen a company with multiple domain names? Companies do it all the time because they want multiple names with certain keywords. This isn't the case with us, just that we haven't pointed those names to their permanent home. Thanks again for your time.

Well I guess until the time comes where you post some specs, prices, datacenters used, and other things I have asked about I have nothing further. Thank you and have a great day

Hey,
I will post some specs. When I told nomis about what we could offer him for the price he was looking for I was trying to help him out. I wasn't quite ready to have people looking at the site because its in no condition to be advertising it as you've all seen:). I apologize if I seem a little defensive because I can see how someone would be worried to send money to someone who doesn't even have a decent page up. If you dont trust us don't use us. Once the site is up I will post specs in here for everyone to see. Thanks again.

There's a few different options we have for around $50. For those starting out we have about 15 starter systems left that are anywhere from 933mgz all the way up to 1.8ghz. They all have 80 gig hds and at least 256mb of ram. I don't know exactly what is left in the inventory. If you are interested in any of our $50 systems e-mail me and I will give you a full list of what we have available at this time. I will check in the office tomorrow. I will also post a list in this forum. All of these systems are free setup and are primarily for someone wanting to start cheap and upgrade as they grow. These are all linux systems. no windows and no control panel. If you would like a control panel webcp is free monthly with a $75 setup fee. Currently we are charging $40 per month for cpanel with no setup fee. We also have a celeron starter package. The price on this plan varies with the setup fee. These are the specs.

Starter Celeron Server
- 2.4GHz Celeron
- 20GB Drive
- 256MB RAM
- 1000GB Data Transfer
- $50.00 monthly / $125.00 Setup
- $62.00 monthly / $100.00 Setup
- $74.50 monthly / $75.00 Setup
- $87.00 monthly / $50.00 Setup
Web CP - $75 setup / $0 monthly
CPanel - $0 Setup / $40 monthly

For a bit more you can go with this system

- 2.4GHz Celeron
- 80GB Drive
- 512MB RAM
- 1000GB Data Transfer
- $63.00 monthly / $125.00 Setup
- $75.00 monthly / $100.00 Setup
- $87.50 monthly / $75.00 Setup
- $100.00 monthly / $50.00 Setup
Web CP - $75 setup / $0 monthly
CPanel - $0 Setup / $40 monthly

Both celerons are fully upgradable as you grow. Processor speed can be upgraded to 2.8ghz P4 and memory and HD can be upgraded to pretty much whatever you want. All upgrades are one time fees and will not affect your monthly cost. If you want to know about upgrades feel free to ask. Thank you for your time and hopefully the site will be done soon with all of our prices. We will also have a semi dedicated p4 system available.

- 2.4GHz P4
- 120GB Drive (40 gig per reseller)
- 1024 RAM
- 1000GB Data Transfer per reseller
- $50 per month with a $50 setup fee
CPanel included in this package price
This is basically like a reseller hosting package but the difference is that there will only be a maximum of 3 people using this server. Cpanel is included but you can not sell reseller accounts with this plan. You will have a reseller account but system resources are only shared by 3 people. Transition from this package to fully dedicated is nearly seamless.

Do you allow your dedicated users to install another web cp?

not purchased from you?

i think if you got your own cPanel license you can install it.

Drop the high setup fees and you would have some good deals there. Well that and drop the cpanel to 20 like most other server companies

yes. if you would like to install your own control panel then we will just install the os you choose, put the server online and you can install any control panel you would like.
