Invest in something that will make you MUCH more money over time.

A good option would be to diversify the investment, this would diversify the risk as well.

You could consider splitting your investment into:

• Invest in bitcoins, just over a month ago they were trading at $420 and today trading at $648.86. (The block will be halved in July so it's likely the value will spike again)

• Invest in a diverse range of markatable domains that you feel would appreciate in value in time
• Consider investing in a established website that you can take over and grow
  
• Depending on your knowledge, would also be a good idea to invest in developing one of your niche specific domains that you might own.

But assuming you mean domain names, you have enough money to diversify your investments. Consider some 1 or 2 word .coms that you're able to get for a good price with room for upside. If you follow the CHIP market you may look at 4L.coms which prices have been lower over the past few months, or any 4L.com which may be brandable or a popular acronym.

You're highest upside will come from brandable names and common word(s) in .com. You don't have to spend it all on one name or even spend all of it to see a return. Slow and steady wins the race.

Given the challenge of end users willing to pay premium prices for a domain name, the competitive nature of obtaining quality inventory and the many mistakes that a newbie makes the first couple years after being exposed to domaining, I believe domains are probably not the best place to invest money. Yes, there is significant potential upside but considerably greater risk. If you buy 400 reg fee domains, a year from now you might be out 100% with no sales and no funds to pay for renewals.

Pick up 10 LLLL.coms with good letters and hold for 3 months. All the best.

I agree with what some other's have had to say.

Bitcoin's were $200 in August of last year. It's now $650 PER coin (Your $4K then would be $13k now)

Ethereum's were $1 in December of last year, now it's $15 PER coin. (Your $4K then would be $60k now)

LLLL.com's were $50 min 1 year ago, now they are $250 minimum (Your $4K then would be $20k now)

I could list a few other investments that I enjoy but these are the easy no-brainer investments.

Buy a ton of .top names and be the next king.Poor, but king. Well, a some meaningful 4 letter .coms are worth buying imho. I refer to domain investing as you posting here.
