Unfortunately not. .CA is restricted to Canadians, just like .US to Americans and .UK to the British. Again, I don't make the rules and I've tried to push .CA before and Godaddy won't let me. The receiver MUST HAVE a physical Canadian address, contact info, etc.

That's true, had experience with it when investors tried to buy .de domains from me.
However, doesn't some registrars like GD provides detours to get over these country restrictions .. or I am wrong?

detour anything you want, try and sell me a .ca and i find out your non canadian, I'll be getting a huge discount
There are lots of .ca registered by non canadian entities, once in a while i stumble across one.
I have a list of dictionary words in .ca own 7 I think. Long term investments with lots of renewals.
There is only so many of us, eh

Rebel.com has cheap .ca if your into it.
