Would anyone be interested in joining a mailing list that sends the top 250 domains every single day?

If so, would you pay for it?

If you would, what would you say is a fair price?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Both are great ideas. Thanks for the input.

You should accept bitcoins.

It sucks when big dropcatchers don't accept bitcoins, cos I have lots to spend.

Would anyone here want dictionary terms in other languages? A lot of my research turns up GEOs and EMDs in other countries and languages?

If not, what would you want to see?

I think having multiple daily specific lists for certain niches that are very cheap like $1/mo - $5/mo each would be better.

Something along the lines of...

Choose the Categories you want to receive:
Health/Nutrition/Wellness
Sports/Fitness/Exercise
Marketing/Business
Technology/Computers/Cloud
Forex/Stocks/Currency
Nature/Environment
Animal Domains
Local/Country Domains (by state/country/city)
Dating/Love
Numbers Only
4 Characters
Spanish domains
German domains
Chinese domains

That's impossible.

Can't you post a list here of the top 250 domains from the drops tomorrow and Friday and let us decide if the list is good enough. We can then tell you how much we would be willing to pay for the list. I would be interested but it's hard to say how interested unless I had an example of the quality. Many of us use the same tools so I would be curious to see how much better the list may be.

I do believe by posting a good list here on a public forum that it could help create a great buzz and gain you much more exposure and possible customers then with no list at all.

Maybe random 100 from 250, every day till the subscription goes live? :)

I am going to signup anyway, but a pre-trial warm up list would not hurt ;)

Shane,
I have a small group who are always looking for names for me. When they find a name and I buy it I pay them a finders fee so it is a win win for everyone. BTW... that is exactly how Rick Schwartz found a lot of his names. If the price was right and the names you were providing made sense to me then the answer to your question is YES I would pay a monthly fee. I think someone would be crazy not to pay for your list. You can never have enough eyeballs looking for quality names.

Cheers

For $20 a month or so, I would definitely try this.

Waiting on approval from the company who's feed I use to find domains. I need explicit permission to use that data,

*fingers crossed*

Is your lists different from Freshdrop & Dropping?

I first have to get approval from Dropping.com to use their feed. Once that's settled, I will.

My feed is from dropping.com. Basically, I'm offering a time saver and my opinion on what's worth buying,

I personally think you are sawing the branch you are seating on, but good luck

We will find out!

I think so. ;)

Will do. Thanks!

I would pay, but only if these lists are exclusive to the buyer. Not sure if you guys remember about 5-6 years ago we had a really good list service. That was when EMD's were really hot.

Could you please explain? I am not sure what you mean.

It should have categories of domains and buyers can select this category to purchase. No one else can see this specific list except the buyer.

this list isn't enough for people to want to pay for. plus people would just repost it on sites, blogs and forums making it valueless. i would suggest doing the list for free and monetizing it in other ways. have the list be a part of something bigger....not the main course....

You want a personal list for $20 per month? That's not doable.

That is one of my worries. Not sure how to fix that yet. I have email analytics so I can see if it gets forwarded. But if one person wants to spoil it for everyone... I could always shut it down.

you can't prevent or detect copy and paste.

If I state the prerequisite to joining my list is to wear pink shorts on the 3rd weekend during March... I can. So I disagree with you there. I have no legal right to take action but I certainly can ban them from my list.

Legally you could ban them, but ethically you may run into conflict if they're blogging your list in a way that is fair and just...like for example someone blogging about your list, or about the domains in your list. you'd be doing all the research for them just so they could take the credit, when you could supply the blog post first on your own site....

And of course I do recognize what's "fair" and "ethical" is a matter of opinion. At the end of the day you wouldn't know who's stealing what from where....especially if someone blogs your list with domain privacy protection.
