Domain name investors and resellers tend to fall into the trap (especially me) of listing names at our favorite channels, often forgetting (or not being made aware of) better channels for the type of domain we are trying to sell. The thought behind this thread is to keep well known and new domain name sales channels front of mind so that we all have the highest probability for success.

Let's start with the most profitable sale, the end user: In the "Completed Domain Name Sales" thread I'm seeing Sedo, afternic, godaddy, and brandbucket as the most often mentioned platforms for great enduser sales (platforms not direct offers). Any others you would recommend?

I was thinking we could create / add to a list like this:
  • CHIPs: NamePros, 4.cn, 222, etc..
  • Brandables: BrandBucket or Brandroot etc..
  • Dictionary / Keyword: Sedo, afternic, godaddy, etc..
  • ccTLDs:
  • New gTLDs:

I tend to forget about listing at multiple platforms and I like to hear about successes, especially as it relates to certain types of names. I know that there is always an exception to the rule but some general guidelines for successes you have had recently may be very helpful.

Great Idea. how do you determine if the domain has been penalized by google?
