information First $X,XXX End User Sale Using Outbound Marketing

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Basically, we were able to make our FIRST end user sale using outbound marketing (email) for a sale in the lower $X,XXX range. This may not seem like a big deal to you but it is for us because:
  • We were able to hit our goal before the year ended.
  • Even though we received replies from potential buyers through emails we initially sent them, their prices didn’t match ours. Instead of rushing for the sale we held strong and negotiated rather well.
  • We love eating celebration dinners so we need to continue to make sales.

To follow up on this yes it was around 60 or 70 related sites on ZFBot and got a couple more from Google Search.

We received 3 lower offers in the mid XXX but we held off since we really wanted to hit X,XXX so a few days later the 3rd offer came in and it was a strong XXX, negotiated and closed the deal =-D

Laser Treatment is a good keyword but I would prefer it in .com when it comes to .net domains we usually focus on the one word keywords these tend to do a lot better.

Truly felt that way since we wanted to make it happen for the end of the year and we got it done. Yes to many more indeed.

@Willox Perez
I'm gonna have to start paying you guys for the inspiration you have given in just one week! (of course I might have to borrow some cash, but you guys seem like you have some handy).

@Omar Negron
I should say re-inspired, my first real attempt at end user emails got me a sale of $5,500
I was dancing when that went into Escrow !
It was a fresh registration in the October and sold in the following February- $18 to $5,500

Great job guys and congratz!

Do you think that it is possible on your end to share the email template you've sent to the potential buyers? I am really trying to figure out which type of salesletters perform best.

Thank you!

I don't think we'll share EXACTLY what we send out but it's literally nothing special. In the subject line we usually put "Hey THEIR FIRSTNAME", or "TheirDomainName.com"

Anything to get them to OPEN the email.

Then in the body you keep it simple and short. You want them to respond and show some type of interest. Even a NO is an ok response because you know, they aren't interested at this moment. (things can change in the future, remember that)

So for now we are keeping the our initial message short. We introduce ourselves, mention the domain name that they own and how it is very similar to the one we now have on the market for sale.

I believe if your domain name is genuinely a good quality domain and the lead your contacting is targeted towards a specific industry, they should see the value right away without a huge sales pitch. Our opening email is probably 3-4 short sentences.

Also, make sure you have a professional looking SIGNATURE LINE. It should state your name, email, phone number and even a cool picture of yourself if you want to get fancy.

O yeah one more thing, make sure you use a tool if your using gmail called STREAK. It tracks the open rates of your emails. Vital information...

Hope that helps!

-Omar

Congratulations guys!

Thank you! =)
