Buyers remorse and not paying for auction wins

It's probably more frustrating for the person's auction you screwed up. There should be no pity for non-payers.

Good and Needy ones will always get sold however it get pushed.

Sometimes we all get it and you can either ask to get off the hook or buy the thing,I had it a couple days ago but I dident win anyway ,maybe the auction is still going ,the domain was 2OO.info I thought it was a number,when I did notice I was willing to accept it anyway ,then I was outbid,its always good to go to whois and type in the domain you think you are buying ,and then copy and paste the domain at auction to make sure the same owner, a few years ago on ebay there was a domain listed ,it was something like italianluckycharn . com so I looked up the domain and the this wasent reg but italianluckycharm .com was it wasent a great name anyway,wont you know at the end of the auction the idiot goes and registers
italianluckycharn . com the wrong way and pushes it to me ,I paid 99 cents for it and this guy goes out and spends 12 bucks to reg a wrong name ,in the end he offered me the correct one ,I told him just keep it.

Some domain auction sites allow you to retract your bid before it sales, we do. Login and retract. Sometimes you may have second thoughts, or not in the right state to be spending money, I understand. It's really a good feature IMO.

If you had a way to back out but didn't then that's a different story..

And to the other guy bidding who may have actually wanted the name for the previous bid.

If you win an auction, you need to pay up. Pay up and then learn from your mistake. You reputation is everything in business and its not worth damaging it for a sale

Pay for the name, and make it an expensive lesson to learn from.

If an auction winner does not pay, doesnt the next highest bidder get offered the domain? Not supporting non payers just asking for clarification by the way.

Yes, in this case.

There's nothing saying bidder 2 won't do the same thing.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the 2nd bidder is just trolling. As other people are offering XX and he is forcing me to bid XXXX. No one else is interested in bidding more than $30 and there are a lot of other bidders.

You placed the bid, you pay for it.

A bid is the amount that you are willing to pay. If you aren't willing to pay that amount, them my friend... you are a liar.

You bid, you pay.
It reaches an amount you're not confortable with? Don't bid .. if you do, then pay !

Technically no. As if I don't pay it goes to the next guy.

That guy helped inflate the price. So he'll have to live with his mistake as I have to with mine.

Never bid more than you will actually pay for a domain

i cant tell you how many mistakes ive made over this last year i bid on things by mistake ive over paid for domains ive caught domains that where spelled wrong i won a few domains i didn't want. But i paid for it all because its the right thing to do. its your responsibility to honor your actions and agreements as a domainer

Wow! Does this really make sense to you?

Play monopoly with paper money if you cant " Man up" to your decisions.

Why would you bid a penny more on a domain than you can afford? I can understand if you were bidding on an auction and suddenly you couldn't pay due to circumstances. Stuff happens. But it seems like you knowingly bid higher than what you could offer. That's not just bad business practice, it's illegal.

what to do if buyer doesn't respond and doesn't pay?
