Hi all,

I have read many posts from various domainers saying that their emails are landing in spam folder of the recipient, whether they use Gmail, Yahoo or any other client. Someone here advised that a 'custom business email' should be used like '[email protected]' where 'mydomain' will be replaced by any domain owned by the domainer. It can be created using the control panel at the registrar or at a service like 'Zoho'. I need to know whether it really makes a difference? Because I have seen emails from these 'custom business emails' land in spam too. What can be done to prevent it?

I also need to know whether there are services like GetSidekick and Streak that support 'custom business emails'?

Thanks.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
since a vast majority of emails sent, contain domain names the majority of recipients view.... as undesirable or unwanted, then such correspondence, as a majority, is seen as spam..

imo...

@biggie The recipient needs to read the email first in order to see whether a domain is desirable or not and to be marked as spam.. most of the recipients don't even open the email whether the subject line mentions the domain or not.. which shows that most or all emails land in the spam folder. Staying away from 'Spam triggers' doesn't work.

What steps do you take when emailing an end-user?

1) Your email client?
2) Your subject?
etc.?

Hi Haris,
Emailing an end-user from a free email account (gmail, yahoo, hotmail) can send them the wrong message. It may say that you are unprofessional. Also, your email may quicker land in their spam mailbox especially if you have an unprofessional username as well.
Try to sign up for a paid email account.
[email protected] looks much more professional than [email protected].

Also, you can track emails with getsidekick.com. Watch DomainSherpa. He actually did a new video on how to find endusers. In the video, he discusses how to track your emails as well. Hope this helps
