So, on that note, we are very excited to launch our brand new homepage! With improved design and navigation you can start your Flippa journey by going directly to the new category home pages for Websites, Domains and Apps. In these pages you can find more relevant featured results, you’ll get more curated content, and popular listings will be easier to find. Here’s more of what you can expect to find on the new pages;

  • New dedicated homepages for Websites, Domains and Apps – easily jump into the action in the area you’re interested in
  • Key Navigation has been updated so you can easily access your messages, watchlist and dashboard
  • Editorial content has been added so we can keep you up to date with Flippa tips and new releases
  • Deal Flow and Domain Holdings for high value websites and domains can now be found on the category pages

So what do you think? Love it? Hate it? Or couldn't care less?

As many others have stated I too think it looks nice..well..trendy as, now, it looks similar to probably 100,000 other sites on the web. Xeroxed sites are not a great marketing move if you ask me.

I find it NOT USER FRIENDLY as, f.e., messages are now hidden god knows where while before the location was immediate and straight forward.

As for the price increase...it reminds me of those publishers who change the cover of the book with the purpose of increasing the sale price without adding any value to the content itself.
My opinion : another minus for Flippa.

@FlippaDomains, the new design looks more modern.

In my Dashboard, My Bids History, Watchlist, as well as my Selling Listings, I will like to see green prices for no reserve / reserve met / next bid hit reserve listings (maybe blue for this) in the v2 of the revamp.

Thanks! :)

one suggestion would be to see a notification when a bid is placed on a domain/website like before the new design.

Why the big increase?

How do you like the answer you got for your valid question? Sounds to me as if the Flippa smiley-faced rep is making you go elsewhere to discuss the price increase. Gee willikers, wonder why.

Since they changed the site, did they change the policy of allowing employees to bid against clueless, outside bidders, and informing the Seller only?

I mentioned somewhere here, I believe, that there was a bug and that is coming back very soon.

I think it's now time to introduce a minimum 'starting price' at auction, $1 bids from chancers are just too time consuming for sellers and off-putting for serious buyers.

$10 minimum is a much more appropriate 'starting price' for a domain auction in 2016.

Sellers can always set a higher minimum price.

This goes without saying, but who wants to sell a domain for lower than $10. It is merely just my opinion but I really don't think it will hamper any worthwhile business at the marketplace.

The present system seems fine. Sellers who find $1 bids from chancers a waste of time can just set a higher start.

I also don't understand how a $1 start can put off serious buyers.

Maybe reserves should be removed instead and all auctions to start from reserve price. Auctions with unrealistic high reserves are a waste of time to everyone.

$1 puts off serious buyers sometimes as it looks like there is competition and buyers do not like competition in auctions, trust me I'm a long time in this business.

If you think the present system is fine then you are part of a minority group at least if you read namePros.

My reasons for increasing the 'starting price' for every auction is to get rid of the time wasters altogether not just on one listing.

The present system of starting auctions from as low as $1.

If a buyer is put off because of higher bid activities, I don't consider him/her serious.

You will not even know that a serious buyer was looking at your auction so you will be left considering the time wasters and that's all.
