Greetings,

I am not an expert of dedicated servers, but I have been shopping around...

That being said, the package your describing sounds solid... as long as your work can cover costs. I don't know if you will be offering private hosting for clients of sites you maintain (which allows you to charge a little more)... but that's one way to defer costs.

Personally my portfolio isn't producing enough to go that route yet.

Good luck!

Regards,

WPM

Bigrock is worst provider and their charge is too high.

Try Digital Ocean (free trial is available). i'm happy with them.

I wouldn't take any server from a company where I have registered domains. I'd select an independent hosting company for that.

check http://hetzner.de

you can have dedicated from the marketplace for as low as 25 euro/month

most of them will be fine for you

XEON is good enough as well
for most cases

what is your project?
do you need extra security?
High bandwidth?
high storage capacity?

dedicated server make sense, when you run a business that generate at least X,xxx$ profits per month

it make no sense if you are just starting and not in profits,
the natural progression is shared hosting --> Virtual Private Server --> Dedicated hosting

my 2 cents

you don't need dedicated server,
a VPS(Virtual Private Server) with your own ip address is largely enough while you start,
you can upgrade later when the profits increase

good luck

or, you could go with a large shared hosting plan, and upgrade when your business is earning more profits for you.

BigRock not recommended.

Online.net, OVH have cheap servers.

Don't go for shared hosting.

Go with a VPS as mentioned by @BelgianGuru

You can go with digitalocean as @ramkumaritrvs has said, they are one of the best in providing cloud vps but the small missing feature is they allocate only one ip address per running instance(you can think of it as computer). If you think you might be running two sites with sll, then you need different ip address for each ssl, in this case I would suggest you have a look at vultr.com and linode.com

The pricing would be almost same on all providers, so it is your choice to make.

Since they are clous vps, they have data centers in different regions of the world, choose the provider who has a data center near to where you are providing your ecommerce service.

Regards :)

try SSD vps on VPS.net ! Buy as many core u need, u can upgrade anytime without need of migration if u buy more cores etc.

I have reached the A/B performance with WP site on GTmetrix with regards the speed of the website, which is one of the most important factor, I thought.
