Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Sony will get by with their vr headset but it's 4-5 years behind the technology of oculus. They will trick the consumer into home vr entertainment with shitty games, demos, and vr movie studio.

Oculus will Dominate, if you want Social, Web, Open source, VR movies, and the feeling of how exciting it was to play video games back in the day; PC is the way to go. Which is why this unit cost $1k consumer release and $3k for hololens dev kit.

I experienced virtual reality at Blockbuster Golf and games back in 1994-1995 Fort Lauderdale; The computer ran the application on a 754k floppy disk, every time he restarted the level he had to reboot the computer since there was no way to escape back to the main menu and restart I guess; or the floppy disk could have been the bios to directly load the vr application.

The experience was a true immersive feeling, even in 1995 it was the coolest and best thing I have ever experienced in any video games in my lifetime.

Then a little shortly after there was a Arcade game if anyone remembers called Time Traveler by sega. I shit you not I wasted a few quarters on this and never figured out how to play, but I remember trying to touch the characters and everyone that saw the machine did so as well. These two games have always stuck with me and never forgot how amazing these were.

Sticking with the UK market, I previously registered:

VRImage / co uk
VRStockphoto / co uk
VRStockPhotos / co uk

Have now added:

MobileVR / uk
VRGame / uk
360Sport / co uk
360Sport / uk

I was tempted with other names but I'm not going to get carried away. I'm happy to sit on these, renew them a few times and see if they have any value in the future.

I was going to buy it myself but .uk hasn't really taken off. I don't think I'll be investing in any more .uk's going forward. Good luck with it though!

Having VirtualRacer.com is it cost something?

Yeah, much like VR, .uk is still in its infancy. By the time the rights to .uk drop off .co.uk owners in 2019, it may be in a stronger position - much like VR may be at that time..I'm prepared to sit on it and wait.

I forgot to add, I have HMDs / co / uk too

Ok I lied, but now I'm done - time to lock these away for a few years with the others:

VRVideo / uk
360Gaming / co / uk
360Gaming / uk

I know which name you're talking about. What price did it end on?

We just hand reg'd TreadVR.com a few days back.

Could tie in with fitness equipment so that walkers, joggers and runners can immerse themselves with a unique visual experience while exercising on a treadmill.

Nintendo going VR ?
It's a big play if true. The fact that AMD may be making a GPU for a console is also a big deal.
Timing could put them far ahead of a possible Sony unit.

As there gets to be more VR awareness with investors, soon enough, questions will be asked to company's, "are you headed into the VR space?" That is likely to create 'intentional info leaks'. While not a official press release, it's free advertisement without holding your feet to facts about how good it is or capabilities. R&D teams normally do a hundred things before they choose one that works well enough.

But I will say, how could Nintendo not go into this space? Question is 'in exactly what form?'. Social VR is a pretty good niche if they can muster a quality product..

Half of the names I bought 3 years ago were Social VR in nature.
