Hey guys,
so I'm looking for a easy way to make logos for free. I don"t mind paying for logo software if it's cheap, good and easy to use.
Does any one have some recommendations?

I've been using wwwonlinelogomakercom - not amazing, but it works pretty well. :)

Just want to say that I was considering paying someone to do bulk logo designs but this tool is great even for a complete novice like me, thanks!

Cool site, thank for sharing. I usually use cooltext.com but I might try a couple on here. :)

I've tried various software to make logos with zero tech background and have just found them to be a huge waste of time yielding an ugly mess. Better off to just pay for the contest here and get something reasonably nice for a very reasonable price. I've done it on a number of occasions over the years and have always been highly satisfied.

Another Logo Creator I tried:

http://site.youidraw.com/logo-creator.html

Example Logo I created:
YouiDraw.png

Another one I tried:

LogoMakr.com

Example Logo I created:
LogoMakr.png

This is not as nice or as easy to use, but it's completely free with no watermark.

YouiDraw has a very light watermark at the bottom if you see carefully in my previous post.

I've used LogoBreeze for several logos, including my avatar here on NP. You can also try sites like Fiverr, Fourr, and Tenrr for cheap logo design.

I would stay away from doing it yourself except you're a graphic designer. Without in-depth knowledge about corporate identity a logo will always look uhm let's say average :) A logo is your brand and how you present your business. Make it recognizable. Make it stand out. Make it look good on a billboard. Think about color psychology. There are 100 aspects to keep in mind when designing a logo.

If you just want to have a random font with an icon next to it I`d still invest $5 at fiverr. It will stand out on ebay because 95% of the listed domain auctions didn't spent more than 3 minutes to create the "logo".

At fiverr - look at their examples and build a relationship with your selected supplier. Work out bulk discounts after you tested their quality. $5 for a good logo is a bargain but you have to find the right person who knows his stuff and is experienced.
Advertisment agencies charge $xxxx-$xxxxx for a logo/CI but weeks are spent to develop a complete apperance.

for better quality you can also have a look at microlancers.com
keep in mind: you get what you pay for.

Since I`m a designer myself I don't outsource that part but let me have a quick look:

..I`m not allowed to post links but search at fiverr for users:
zdesign12 and zarawalker

Their work looks good to me for a $5 investment. I`d give them a try :)
i`m not affiliated with them.

Have you checked out gimp.org ? It's a free alternative to Photoshop and has a lot of the same capabilities.

Fiverr

Why spend $×x -$xxx on software?
Why struggle doing it all by yourself?

When you can just pay 5 bucks for a masterpiece.

I tried one of the recommended Fiverr users and this is the result of my $5.50 investment:

I requested for an Orient feel, and the designer makes the letters looks like Chinese / Japanese strokes.

What do you guys think?
