Tracy Fogarty, a domain name broker with Domain Holdings, announced a domain brokerage and consulting firm eNaming.com
According to its website, eNaming.com will help clients on both sides of deals. The company will offer domain name sales brokerage services, and it will also work with clients to acquire domain names on their behalf. Tracy will also use her experience to provide domain name consulting services to her clients.

This is what Tracy wrote on Facebook:

" A new beginning always involves leaving something behind and embracing something new and different, and in my case, boldly and excitingly different — For the first time in my whole life, I’m going to be my own boss!

For the past 20 years I’ve been employed by one company or another, most recently Domain Holdings. I’ve had a blast serving my clients, taking on new challenges, learning, and contributing. I’m thankful and grateful to all my co-workers and colleagues, clients, and acquaintances. I couldn’t be where I am today without you.

The beginning of my new journey started with a single question: How can I serve my clients better than ever? And the answer to that question led me to this moment. I can only do so by being my own boss, talking the talk and walking the walk, and pushing the boundaries like I have never imagined before. And now, without further ado, a new journey has begun!

Confucius once said “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. And to Confucius and the rest of the world I want to say, thank you sincerely, I am grateful, wish me luck, I am ready!

With love.
Tracy Fogarty
Founder & CEO
eNaming.com LLC"

So friends, you have one more platform to choose from, now!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Has anyone been approached by them to buy a name of yours, or to list it with them?

I noticed them first when I googled a domain of mine and was surprised to see it listed there.

Interesting business approach they have, as their site says:

Our exclusive domain name listings consist of filtered, hand picked, premium domain names. Each domain name is individually valued based on a series of unique attributes, variables, characteristics, and Owner's needs.

Pricing Guidance:
  • eNaming.com Domain Inventory: From US$ 10,000 to over 10 Million.
  • Minimum offer: US$ 10,000. All offers below this amount will be discarded.
  • Average sales price: Approximately US$ 30,000
  • Average sales price one-word .Com Domain Name: Approx. US$ 100,000
About Us:

Maybe this thread belongs in another section? Or a new thread? Because we are talking about a site that is soliciting offers on our names with a minimum offer to them of 10k.

Go to this url to check if your domain is listed - insert your domain after domain/:
http://enaming.com/inventory/domain/bodis.com

Some names return a 404 and this message - for example if you ask about buying sedo.com:

404
Errrr! The page you are looking for no longer exists

Out of the few names of mine I checked. they all appear to have there own page on eNaming.com.

The only thing I can think of is that they're pulling the names from DomainNameSales. I don't have my names listed anyway else.

Hmmmm, not to be reading too much in to this but anyone know if Matt has Bodis.com up for sale?

No, we do not have Bodis.com listed for sale. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Must be a bug on eNaming.com.

Thanks for the update Matt!

I was guessing that it was something like that.

We recently found one of our domains 50yearwater.com listed without our authorization as well.
What we find disturbing is that the eNaming website shows up in search results when looking for our website name and now people might get the impression that we are in the process of abandoning our domain name, website and business because 'it is listed for sale' on their website.

What eNaming and Tracy Fogarty do is harmful to the individual businesses that find themselves listed 'for sale' without their knowledge and authorization.

We are in the process of getting legal advice on this situation to find out if the overall business model used by eNaming (listing items for sale that are not actually available) is even legal.
After all, I can't just list your house for sale and then knock on your door when I have a buyer for it.
Those are scam tactics in our opinion and we feel that anyone who finds themselves listed on their website as 'for sale' without having given permission, should consider getting legal advice as well, if they feel they could suffer financial harm by having customers become reluctant in doing business with you as a result of the unauthorized for sale listing.

Those damn bugs that are smart enough to list your domain for sale!...

I bet they didn't list xxvbgfdsat.com for sale ;)

I suggest not to do a search for your domain names on their website unless you want to see it listed for sale because many websites are set to remember search results and by searching for a name, you are just feeding more domain name suggestions into their system.

Ah, figured out what you are saying.
If a domain is not listed on that site, but searching for it, it may end up for sale on that site.
Thank you.

eNaming must be reading this forum, because after posting about finding one of our domain names listed on their site without our permission and without it ever having been put up for sale anywhere (because we are the original registrant of the domain), it is removed from their website today and a search on their site as well as clicking on the google search result link now go to their 404 error page.

I am glad they removed our domain name, but we are keeping a close eye on them to see if they relist it again at some point without permission.
I also wonder how many other domain names that are not actually for sale they list without the domain name owner even knowing they show them 'up for auction'.

And just to be clear:
We have strong reason to believe that not all domains eNaming lists are actually for sale.
It seem they run a fishing operation that picks domain names with high potential 'resale' value and list them for sale, even though they might not actually be for sale.
Then, when a buyer bites, they try to start negotiations with the original domain owner.

Here is what the text in the google search result listing says:

50yearwater.com - eNaming.com
enaming.com/inventory/domain/50yearwater.com
The Owner Of This Domain May Be Willing To Entertain A Sale Or Other Proposals. Our exclusive domain name listings consist of filtered, hand picked, premium........

You see the key terms here?
"The Owner .... May Be Willing To Entertain A Sale ........."

-May Be- and this clearly shows that they list domains that are not actually for sale in hopes to persuade the current domain owners later on.

But hey, if someone goes to that page and says, I want this domain for $10,000?
I will sell in a heartbeat!!!!
And then what if a serious buyer wants a listed domain at the "asking price" but the seller that didn't list it, isn't interested?

Maybe the buyer now thinks the seller is being shady for not selling at the advertised price and doesn't do future business with them! This type of practice by enaming could hurt folks that don't intend to be part of the platform IMO.

Did they approach you or did you approach them?

Is the "exclusive" condition in an email or a submission form?

Have you seen the other, longer thread about listing issues at enaming.com on here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/anyone-listed-or-contacted-by-enaming-com.877829/ ? Seems they are big on "stealth mode".

Hi on this page they list requests they have had for names
http://enaming.com/buyers-request/
Multiple buyers are looking for LLLL .COM domain names, cannot have the letters A, E, ,I, O, U, V in the domain. .com US$ 500 - US$ 5K per domain.

If you agree to the exclusivity what happens if you want to leave, or change prices?

Check out this other thread about Brandroot - the problem came up there because Brandroot wanted 30 days notice to de-list a domain. https://www.namepros.com/threads/warning-against-a-member.836920/
