Microsoft Word is pretty decent too.

Illustrator or Coral Draw are good ones because they can do vector which is required for print in case you want business cards, etc.

@tiawood Why when you got Microsoft Word to build that right into your business card layout?

thanks for your nice suggestion . i recently start working on PS ..

i think photoshop and illustrator are the best..
the there are many people who ask for vector output so you should go with illustrator for sure..

I am into simple pic editing and i use pixlr to edit my dp. :P

I say illustrator is the best tool for logo design, because illustrator logo don't show any crack after zoom.
For print, illustrator logo is excellent.
