news EG.com Has Been Sold

NameSilo
The valuable two-letter .com domain name EG.com has been sold.

The news broke when George Kirikos wrote a tweet stating that EG.com has been unlocked, which would then permit for a domain transfer to take place.

Minutes later, Andrew Rosener (@mediaoptions on Twitter) confirmed that Media Options had indeed sold EG.com, and had also acquired MJ.com.

EG.com is listed for sale on Afternic for $899,000, but the final sales price hasn't been disclosed.

This is the latest in a series of two-letter .com domain names, with We.com and SX.com both selling recently.

Update: Courtesy of @GeorgeKirikos on Twitter:

The new owner of EG.com is Finlead AG Brand Management, who have also acquired EO.com recently.

@Jasonn Finlead sold BI.com to a Chinese company earlier this year - probably for 7 figures. That's more than likely how they were able to afford this!
