Hello!

I represent an investor from Europe who would like to buy fiylist.com for a new project.

My client is a co-owner of several Internet companies including Alibaba Group.

The new project is going to be started in 3 months but he would like to secure the domain right now.

Are you still interested in selling this domain?

If so, please reply back and we will negotiate the price and discuss the sale process.

I have regular meetings with many major domain investors and I'm using my experience and relations to help companies and individuals to buy and sell domains.

If you have other names for sale, please email me the list.

Best Regards,

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
What do yall think ? Smells fishy to me.

Hello,

It could be the guys who will require you to have a special "domain certificate" that has to be bought. If it's them, they will no longer be interested in the domain after you have purchased the "certificate".

I'm not 100% (but almost).

just ask him to submit a offer and see what happens

I also had a warning saying that it may had not come from this email address.I'm afraid by emailing them this might compromise my security? The domain also expires today as i was going to drop it out of my portfolio.

It's the appraisal scam.

Play along if you want. You'll get a second email asking you to buy an appraisal first. Don't fall it.

I just got this kind of email today. I replied and yes, the 2nd emails is requesting me to send them the appraisal certification using this website : http://www.cert-tools.org/appraisal.htm

I did not pay. I might try to play a bit with them asking them to send me the money to pay for the appraisal and suggest I will subtract that amount from the domain price.

Don't give him any personal details other than just deleting the email and report as phishing attempt.

Today I have received the same email from [email protected].
As always, If a deal sounds too good, it is just a very one-sided business.

Got the exact email for my domain, except the emailers name was David something. When I replied back asking him for his offer, his second email asked me to get certification / appraisal for the domain. It's an appraisal scam. Don't fall for it.

The fun I would have with that call! :D

I love playing with the "ms tech support team" who insist on telling me I have a virus, this woman would be so much fun! haha

if your thinking scam at all, like, if it even comes into your subconcious, i would do a thorough background check on whomever you're dealing with.

ask for credibility. then make them email you from emails linked to these cred. sites.
or message you on their accounts they gave like ebay, amazon, fb, flippa, epicnpc, etc.

if someone calls asking me for information, without first making it even apparent that its a legitimate phone call, i hang up.

Dont park anywhere and then give them your authorization codes to fully allow the 'parking process' either.
Unless you don't want the domains anymore :)
