I think it is necessary to create in the "Domain Names Wanted" 2 or maybe 3 new subcategory:
1. Budget 1-1000 $
2. Budget 1000-5000 $
3. Over 5000 $
Also i think is necessary to obligate the buyer's to send a answer to the seller's even is a negative answer ex: no, not apply to my needs etc..
I think you agree that we do not like to wait to much or mooking by the some buyers.
Most of buyers have requeste like this: exp. GA or date expiration and traffic revenue to buy a domain name so we are the seller and need to collect all this data and i think is FAIR to recived a answer.
Best regards,

I am a firm believer in the old way, Buyer states budget in $ not xx thanks for applying my suggestion Eric. If someone has what matches it is by pm, no comments. If the pm was sent they got it. That's why old threads get dug up, it's Saturday Night Live and Johnny came home from the bar, starts replying to old threads with, "Hey bro you still buying, I know you said .com only, but .co is cool"

I can say I always make sure to send what the buyer requested as not to waste their time and I like to keep things on topic. Every time someone has gotten back with, that was close thanks or not quite, etc...

I never mind if they don't reply, actually when I get replies I used to think, COOL they liked the domain, got a sale. So now I actually say to the buyer if you are not interested no need to reply, no problem, thank you for your time.

There is one valid point that a few brought up, and I agree with @biggie there is no deal until you come to an agreement, but someone not interested in a name, but let's say they see a news item or related sale, may comeback and say oh yeah here is that $100.

I think a seller has to say, I have ****** for $$$$, offer is good for 3 days or a week, make sure that the buyer understands that they can't play the waiting game.

One thing that we may want to remind the Buyers to be honest when posting "Budget".
Many members tried to be "cool" by posting false budget which waste the time for the Sellers.
Example: Budget $100,000 - Do you really have $100,000

There is no way to enforce this. We just want to remind the Buyers to be honest so there is no time wasting.

Very true, you can never know 100% but when it is someone who has previously sold .info names for $2, they probably don't have $100,000. Again you never know 100% because some guys hustle for other people, they might not have that kind of money, but they are working under the radar for someone else.

If I may make a suggestion...

It would be great if the "Domains wanted" section is sorted by thread date rather than the ones with the latest posts being bumped to the top.

That's exactly what I wanted, you're the best! Thanks Eric! Don't know why I didn't see that there before, I think my eyes automatically start scanning the thread titles. This is going to save a ton of time. Thanks again :)

i am against people sending names that don't fit a buyers criteria, but Every coin has two sides. They are a few buyers who post penny budgets and ask for premium domains and one word domains, aged with thousands of exact searches. No wonder some people get names that don't fit their criteria. Maybe they are no names that fit their criteria. Wait for eventplanner.com to fall in your lap for $100? Don't complain when you get pakistansalmon.com...Don't look at my post funny; I know you'e seen some of these request..

PERFECTLY AGREE THOUGH YOU MUST AGREE WITH ME THAT MOST SELLERS DO MAKE PROPOSITIONS THAT ARE COMPLETLY DEVIATE FROM WHAT THE BUYER ASKED, AND IF THEY ARE HUNDREDS, IT WILL TAKE A LOT OF TIME TO THE BUYER TO ANSWER SO THEY PREFER TO ANSWER TO THOSE FILLING THE CRITERIA LISTED PREVIOUSLY!!!

Myself, I do not do all caps when I post.

But that's still not an excuse for someone to try to sell them names that don't fit the criteria.
If you don't have a domain that fits what the buyer is asking for, don't post or PM. If the request is truly unreasonable, they'll get no responses. Maybe that will help them set more realistic expectations in the future.

Or post a name in the thread.
When not accepted.
Whine and cry and want an explanation of why the domain was not accepted.
That is funny to see.

Tip: If you want buyers to respond with their interest (or lack thereof), set a deadline on the availability of your domain submissions. If they're interested, they should respond before the deadline. After the deadline, you'll know they weren't interested.

1. Budget 1-1000 $
2. Budget 1000-5000 $
3. Over 5000 $

We just added an improvement regarding this request named "Filter By Budget" :)

Thanks for the idea, @webpro75!
