Are .ME, .CO, .TV, .mobi extensions worth anything anymore? Just curious.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It all depends on the keyword, though prices have fallen a bit with the influx of new TLDs.
I only have two .infos and one.org, and one .us (that I'm trying to get rid of) everything I own is a dot com.

In general they are risky investments. The .mobi domain market is dead, don't invest in .mobi domains at all. The .tv era seems to have ended as well. I believe .me domains have peaked, but highly generic keywords and cleaver domain hacks still have an interest. In my humble opinion the interest and value of .co domains is a bubble. However generic keywords and three letter .co domains etc. still get interest from endusers and resellers.

Sold 1 .biz last week. Mailed 3 invoices yesterday. All for .biz names. Expecting confirmation of payment today and will push immediately. Making 4 .biz names in 2 weeks. All for relatively good prices. Considering i picked them for a dollar each last year.

Only ever bought 1 mobi. Knowing what i know now I should never have gone near it with a 10ft pole. Dropped it.

Same goes for the .tv name I bought. Spent a lot of effort looking for a buyer for that name. Nothing came of it. To add insult to injury when it came to renewal time i found it was $35 or something like that. I thought what a joke. Dropped it like a bad habit.

Got just only 1 info name. I have had some low x,xx offers on it but holding out for something at least a couple of hundreds more

So I think biz and info names are worth something.

Agree, .biz and .info hold some value, but they are still risky investment objects. It will be interesting to see how the new gTLD's will impact the .biz and .info sales. Despite the number of years .biz and .info have been around they are still relative unknown.

Among these extensions dot CO has a good value. Last year dot CO stands next to dot com compared with the average sales price. I assume dot co will retain the same position this year tooand in the future also.

Where did you read this?

Assuming is no good in domaining :) look at .info, .us and .tv years ago. At that time domainers also assumed a lot about these extensions.

It was based on SEDO,'s sales last year based on average sales price of the extensions.

IMO, No extension dead, if you have a good keyword or generic Name.

99% of them registered are worth less than $20 (wholesale price), unless they a ultra-premium keyword or if they are 2 letters or 2 numbers domain etc. (examples of good domains: loans.co, 88.me, aa.tv)
