I was recently doing some research on LLLL.com sales when evaluating a potential portfolio acquisition, and came across a great chart at LLLLSales.com, which is shown below with the permission of the site owner.

It shows pricing for quad premium 4L.com’s back to 2007, with a huge spike up to around $350 in 2008, a dip to between mostly $100 – $150 from 2009 until last year, and a recent significant upward shift to the $200+ range.
However, it’s fun to check out the highest priced domains that are selling every now and then, and with a quick NameBio search, I looked at some of the pricier recently reported LLLL.com sales, and a sample is listed below. My predictive abilities certainly fall into the category of Shane’s comment, “most can’t come within 10% of where an auction will finish”.

MITV.com – $75,000 – DomainNameSales
ZOOX.com – $70,000 – DomainNameSales
HOOQ.com – $50,000 – Sedo
IFCS.com – $35,000 – DomainNameSales
KUHE.com – $17,500 – DomainNameSales
EATZ.com – $15,000 – Sedo
EZPR.com – $14,500 – Sedo
YATM.com – $13,000 – DomainNameSales
OPIA.com – $10,000 – NameJet
BGEO.com – $10,000 – Sedo

I would love to read a detailed primer on the LLLL.com market. It's still a mystery to me in many ways.

I just sold several LLLL.com domains to a guy in China for a pretty good price. The Chinese are not only looking for ways to spend their new-found wealth, they like the letters we don't: x, q, j, k, z, etc.

Sure, we like "CCCC" LLLL.com without "a,e,i,o,u,v".
Do you have more?

it's a mystery to me as well. I don't understand why a name like rzjg.com would be so expensive. it's not a lot you can do with it.
