Probably for a brand. Otherwise, the name might not even be worth the .money you spent registering it.

There is no point to register new gTLD domains.
You have plenty of opportunities within the .com .net .org and even .info.
You can find nice domains from drop catching, expiring domains and even hand registered domains.
When you register a new gTLD domain, you gamble the specific gTLD will grow.
Most chances that .com .net etc will remain prominent, so it is pointless.

I see that the domain you've registered has addPeriod status and you only registered it on March 08, 2015.
It is possible to cancel a registration and receive a full refund in this 5 days status.
I strongly recommend to do so.

I understand it may be tempting to register a nice available domain.
But registering a new gTLD domains is a huge gamble which is practically throwing money out the window like the nice illustration above^.
Happymoney.com for $189k is a bit overprice, but it's a debate for an appraisal thread.
Registering good .co and .tv is understandable and may be profitable if you have premium domains.

I wish you the best of luck in selling your domains
Who knows, maybe 10 years from now, you will be able to sell it for a nice profit.
I prefer to invest my money on more popular gTLD domains.

You can even call it as speculation...
For you .co or .TV makes sense..IMO any name which is easy to remember and if it makes sense with extension, its premium...

but I do NOT like this extension.
