I bought my first domain in 2003, when I was 12 years old. It was a terrible name!

(TheNBABobcats.com)

Back in 2008 for me too, as far as I can remember. Bought 2 domains for personal blog projects. One was my nickname in IRC ( :D ) and the other was LazorPowered.com ;)

2005-04-10, according to WHOIS. I still have it, though it lacks any content. I was 12 years old.

I purchased my first domain name in 2004 or so. [Downzine.com] :D

But things didn't worked out as I planned. And I was sidetracked.

1 year or so later it expired and ended up on sedo :D

That is how I came to know about sedo and then about Namepros and domaining.

I got it back though and I still have it as a developed site :)

2013, is it too late to start?

Absolutely not.

You can still purchase .com from owners that undervalue their holdings.

You can purchase new gTLDs if you accept more risk and at it as a mid/long-term investment/speculation (3-5 years) instead of immediate flipping.

I think I got you all beat age wise in the single digits with NetSol. Just couldn't afford the renewal fees on awesome names. :(

Technically, it was under my parents name, so I guess you all have me beat as I didn't "own" it/them.

I bought my first name in 2001, (much older than 12) The first time I paid the slightest bit of attention was in 1997. A friend of mine owned a bunch of generic one word .coms. He said someday they would be worth a lot of money, but I hadn't a clue back then.

TechChallenger.com .....i think it was 12 Aug 1012. Brought for a concept website for students, still near me but undeveloped. While developing that concept idea i became web developer :D and slowly in 2013 came to domaining
