I have listed my first 2 domain with Namerific and it would be great to share your experience with Namerific.

My experience so far is good. I submitted 4 names and 2 accepted within 48 hours. Logo design was done with 24 hours after verification of the domain names.

Now I need to wait and see if the domain get sold.

Just share your experience with Namerific..

Theoretically - I never receive mine. Best to check in on the site now and again.

Any idea how long a submission should be marked 'Pending'? Or will it be forever if it's not accepted?

Sorry, I should have said, 'Pending Approval.'

Listed two names at Namerific, both approved and logo created and the names were listed on the marketplace last week.

I checked last night and couldn't find one of the names on the marketplace even though it was listed for sale on my account and the other one has been reset and is pending a logo design which is silly as it was already approved with a logo and listed on the site for sale.

Anybody else had this issue?

had a listed name which the logo at a point wasn't there anymore.. i msged them.. they put the logo back..
also had a name in the past it was saying designer claimed logo.. process had started.. then it went back to no designer claimed..

also at this point, im still sending the names to NR as it's free, but really don't have much hope of selling anything there anymore.... also I have some accepted quality names which show pending for that "ever mysterious" writer which I guess needs 3 months of inspiration to wriite 2 lines..

then after that's done, I STILL have to wait for a logo designer.. 3-4 months wait time for the process is crazy!..
NR feels like when you throw a penny in the well or something.. almost pointless

I guess the argument on their side is that it's free & not exclusive..

I agree. The only reason to go with them is that they're free and non-exclusive, so why not? OTOH, listing with them does feel like an act of desperation. :)

I have also had domains saying designer claimed logo then back to no designer unless I pay $25. Why not just say $25 for a design and quit playing games. How about some transparency here?

Going through posts in this thread, most people are discussing the design of namerific but nobody is talking about any sales, has anyone sold anything on namerific? I've had one offer in the past

Got a few listed on the site, no sales, no offers.

I have yet to sign up... you've had one offer out of how many domains listed over how long on average?

I think the problem with the site is simply exposure, how much marketing is Namerific doing to give their customers the best chance to sell their name? You can attend all the trade shows in the world but in the end it is the normal domainers who make the market nobody else.

If domainers cannot see viability within the service then ultimately the company cannot survive. I believe Namerific has the ability to grow in this brandable market but more effort is needed to bring the company into the global spotlight and truly help itself and the people who submit domains.

Bug report: Clicking on tags does not bring any results.

That is another thing that the inconsistency with the website is not giving people confidence. I understand about tweaking things now and then but for trivial things to not work is off putting.

I have had names on both BrandBucket and Namerific for months with no sales. Then I found Flippa who has no listing fee, no logo, and only a 10% commission.

Flippa has a $9 no-frills listing fee.

Flippa has a free option for listing names; I have used it. iGoldrush is also free but I do not know if they are a major player.

To list in a "catalog" not an auction -- right, that is free.

Namerific is an awesome website, it's a delight to browse through and I like that they don't require exclusivity for sellers. The small bugs will be overcome with time (I have two domains approved which have had broken links for months). Everyone mentions the bugs but no one mentions how awesome they are :) If they integrated iDevAffiliate I'd sign up and do their marketing for them.

I've gotten a few offers on Namerific, although the offers came in on semi-generic brandables that I wouldn't be surprised came from people typing-in the domain itself, but I don't know for sure. Namerific should start reporting domain sales like BrandRoot to build more confidence in their marketplace. For months to go buy without a single person reporting a sale there makes one wonder.

Some sales have NDAs but sales info would be great.

afaik they do have a 'partial' exclusivity

if I have a domain for sale on namerific for $1k and I receive an offer, outside of namerific, for $900, I don't think I'm allowed to sell it.

If I remember correctly from their TOA , I can only sell it if the sale price is greater than the price they have on their site for said domain
Similarly, I cannot place the domain for sale on any marketplace at a price lower than what they show on their site.

Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong

Namerific is nonexclusive so you can list your domains anywhere you want at any price you want. Since you didn't sign a contract prohibiting a private sale, that's your right. They can't stop you. Now if the buyer found your name on Namerific, you might send them a few bucks, out of courtesy, for featuring your domain in the first place.

Thanks for the update Randel. What I mentioned on my previous post was valid in the past but it seems the TOA has changed since then.

Can you tell us the domain you sold?
