events NamesCon in Under 5 Minutes [Video]

Spaceship Spaceship
"We're all here at a really interesting moment in time because this is probably the best domain show I've been to in five years," said Frank Schilling during his keynote speech at NamesCon 2015.

But don't take it from Frank alone, many other industry moguls have the same opinion as reports show that over 900 people were in attendance at the Tropicana in Las Vegas.

From keynotes to masterclasses, networking to fundraising, and last, but not least, live domain auctions; there was a plethora of opportunities. The highlight of my adventure was meeting domain name investors in person, not just from behind a screen. Regardless of my monitor settings, every one was still on the "bright" side.

I both congratulate and thank Richard, Jothan, Jodi, and James for such a substantial event. If you're contemplating whether or not you should attend next year, this video produced by NamePros, featuring Kevin Fink from Flippa, should put it in perspective for you in under 5 minutes.

Well done video. Thanks for including the DomainSherpa Live! It was fun to see the offer made by Adam and accepted by an audience member.

For those that want to spend a little more time, here is Frank Schilling's keynote address

Audio is not that good, especially at the very beginning, so adjust your volume low.

BTW, nice meeting you Eric, albeit for only a minute!

Great video! I met Eric at NamesCon, and it was really great talking to him. It's also really great to hear that the Chinese Domaining Masterclass presented by TLD Registry was worth attending. Quite a few people showed up to attend the classes and obtained a binder. Again, great video!

I really enjoyed watching this recap. Encore! :)

Does anyone know what domain was sold in the video? Just curious. @DomainSherpa

@Joseph Green: BackAdjustments.com sold from the registrant to Adam Dicker for $2,500

Andrew Rosener made a $20,000 offer on Theo.com to another attendee.

One attendee offered another a new Indian motorcycle for motorcycle.club, but it turns out the original registrant had a typo and didn't actually own the domain name...but turned down the offer before he knew it.

That sounds super fun and exciting to watch; I won't miss the panel next year!

Great job on the video NamePros. It's a nice 'peek behind the curtain' for those of us that didn't attend that plan on doing so in the future

the interviews were a joint effort between np and flippa. It's always a good thing to build joint ventures. ;) .. I was handling other networking related business and in meetings at the time. Which, speaking of interviews, there should be an interview of me rolling out soon conducted by Chris Wright and edited by ed. Keep an eye out for it ;)
