Best Domain Portfolio Script?

I am looking around again for a good script, free or paid, for providing a professional, clean website to promote my domains for sale, that is also php 5.4 friendly.

I have been using domainersscript for the last few years but unfortunately it uses php 5.2 which has been phased out by my host... and that script is no longer updated so need to start looking at what other options there are as of now.

Anybody have a good recommendation?

You mean that script doesn't run on PHP5.4 ? Maybe it can be tweaked as necessary.

nope, it still uses 5.2. I contacted the guy that i bought it from several years ago and basically the options were pay to have it updated or pay to have it hosted with them and then the version 5.2 wouldn't be an issue. But I was planning to move to a vps soon and thought that I would be able to set which php version to use and for that domain/cpanel set it to 5.2 but was informed that 5.2 is not an option for a variety of reasons. So..... since there are a couple of things that make me not too keen on doing/paying whatever it takes to get this script compatible with 5.4, I figured I would see if there was now any other solid options out there that are more future-friendly....

I could always write you one to your specifications. This would of course be a "paid" option. But it might be something other domainers are yearning for too.

thanks for the link.... that does indeed look like a clean and well-maintained plugin for managing a spreadsheet/database of domains for sale, and working off of WP would be a nice option too. Doesn't seem to have the individual lander page for each domain though. I really like that option so that it is possible to forward domains directly to their own landing page for convenient purchase inquiry emails. and it doesn't seem to be able to search/filter within a single category. But, definitely an option if just looking to present all domains as a list and forward to the main site only etc. Thanks for the input!

If you're on a VPS, you should be able to download the php repos and downgrade php.

I had to downgrade to PHP 5.3 (depreciated) because Smarty isn't 5.4 compatible as of yet. Either way, I don't see an issue as PHP 5.4 has unresolved issues that 5.3 was supposed to fix in 5.2.

I would not recommend downgrading PHP, especially below 5.3. However, there's no reason you can't use a script designed for 5.2 with 5.4. You may receive some warnings, but you can disable those. 5.4 is backwards-compatible with all prior 5.x versions.

Have you tried DNS Portfolio? How would you rate it?

Probably a simple wordpress website is the best way to proceed ...

It's kind of ruff, but who knows, it may have potential. You said free? How can I try it? Download?

I see, so many script has been abandoned. Why? Most of them have potential, but still one piece missing to be complete.
I am looking, stability (on my own server), security, functions (create categories, products with logos, SEO optimization), appeal (clean-nice), purchase option (just simple form like see attached)

So many is trying to invent wheel, me included and it will take one simple plugin for WP.
Does anyone know solution? form2.jpg form.jpg

Hi

the difference between what I posted and yours, is that I had adsense, in attempt to also monetize.
and it was all hand coded html in notepad, no plugin needed.

and... the code wasn't abandoned, from usage. :)

imo….

That's cool, you have the capability, I don't. Almost there, just one last thing and I'll be happy. Basically, all I need is - when you click on the checkout, then I need to go to page example Order Now, where I would have form that client fill out and make an offer. It would be enough. Better would be to pull the domain name and price and place in the form as well. That would awesome! How hard is it? Maybe Fiverr or some guru here?
