Am I the only one longing for the previous Moniker's control panel? I bet not.

Sounds like I'm not the only one having issues.

I have some transfers that are in limbo right now. Some transfers was I charged for and then some that do not seem to have been charged for.

Customer support phone number just beeps - no one answers, etc.

Don't understand how this happens to a technology company. Figure out the bugs before you push something live.

I'm having lots of issues, like being charged for domains that I let expire. Looking at their Facebook page, I am not the only one.

I have submitted 2 tickets myself. I have also called Moniker right when they opened this am and spent 45 minutes on the phone. I have (that I know of) 11 .de, 5 .us, 1 com, 1 co.uk missing from my account.

Extremely disturbing. The .com (which I acquired through snapnames 2 years ago) was in my moniker account a few days ago and needed to be renewed. Support claims that now this name will be managed by someone else as it was acquired through auction. So I was instructed to call Snapnames to see about that. I called them, but they have to figure it out where the domain is and get back to me. Oddly enough, all of the other domains acquired through snapnames.com auctions are in my account. What will be even more upsetting is if this .com ends up at network solutions or enom and then I will have to renew at some idiotic price.

I have 2 names showing as expiring (one today and another in a few days), even though I renewed them last month.

Me too:(. Called customer service and waited for about 45 mins and just got a voicemail. Tried to renew a few of my domains last night and poof they just vanished out of thin air. Also couldn't add a damn thing to my shopping cart.

Looks like they will be sifting through complaints for quite a while.

Just a bit more to the story above. I did reach a human when calling this am. She asked for my customer number. Then could not find my account using that number and asked for my email address. After getting my email, she asked which account I was calling about saying that she saw 3 accounts. I replied that I only have one moniker account.

By the end of the conversation, she was supposed to be getting back to me by email regarding all of the missing domains and also about the domains showing as expiring despite already being renewed, etc.

Same here, I am getting invoices for domains that expired a few months ago. That is harassment in my opinion.

I'm having lots of issues, like being charged for domains that I let expire. Looking at their Facebook page, I am not the only one.

I just received my first invoice and paypal debit purchase for 3 names turned off. What a mess. And the names do not even show in my account at all.

i am getting invoices emailed to me but when i log into moniker, there are no invoices there. i don't keep any payment methods on file so i am not sure how that is going to work.

This is a nightmare, who is going to pay for our wasted time? I'll have to check 5000+ domains and see how many are missing...

All I have to say is they better be able to recover all of these "missing" domains.

I am turning from a Moniker cheerleader into a Moniker hater

Unbelievable there isn't more discussion about this here. It's quite possibly the most disastrous registrar SNAFU ever in the domain space. It's going to get real ugly real fast if the company doesn't do some major damage control QUICKLY.

Just chiming in on how disastrous this is. Also their Portfolio Maxlock (assume domain lock too) isn't working at all. That's means their security is offline right now. This is unbelievable. I've sent 2 support tickets already and judging by the responses they won't get fast responses. For years I've heralded Moniker for their support and security and in 48 hours they've ruined a decade of reputation.

I gotta be honest. I think I've lost all faith in their security. Can you imagine if they can't get this right how many security holes their system must contain? All our domains could likely be stolen. This is the biggest nightmare of any domainer having their portfolio stolen and Moniker just went from top security to bottom trash in 2 days.

Their damage control better be amazing.

Yeah the new moniker just sent one of my domain name to snapnames even after renewing it.

Got renewal success email etc and everything but today morning the domain name is not there :( When I tried searching it ended up on snapnames :(

I just had to click hundreds of domains to make sure they weren't marked as deletion upon expiration and then I had to undo all the clicks to make sure they were clear for any future changes. Also I got an email for every single one of the updated domain actions. No bulk listing of saying 300 domains with a single action. Instead you'll get 300 emails which is the same action but for each domain. This is amateur hour over there. This system isn't even ready for beta testing let alone a live site. Not when peoples business depends on domains.

I'm F'n LIVID about this mess and so should everyone else that uses Moniker. This is UNACCEPTABLE by any industry or business standards. If I lose even one domain I'm going to go for a class action suit and I suggest everyone that is losing time and money over this tell Moniker the same thing.

I want immediate action because tomorrow is too late once your domain is deleted, your site is offline, and you've lost a valuable asset. I own websites that earn very high income. I cannot have any part of my infrastructure at risk because of childish business behavior.

Guys you will ALWAYS have issues with Moniker and SnapNames..it's just how it is. Unfortunately.
That's why I chose not to work with them anymore.

New ? Moniker was always full of bugs that they refused to fix... so they improved it... yes now with added bugs.

Been telling people for years it is not safe to use Moniker. But at least I was able to log in there today.

This is on their site:

During this migration period unfortunately there appear to be some instances where clients have been charged for renewals they did not authorize, and cases in which domains are not visible in a customer’s account. We want you to know unauthorized charges of domains will be refunded as soon as possible. In addition, if you are missing domains in your account, they are not lost; they are not appearing for technical reasons which should be resolved in the next 24-48 hours.

A class action should be started against them.

I've never seen such a mess in my entire life. If it doesn't get resolved I'm opening a complaint to ICANN and taking them to court. I can't even see some of my domains or transfer the ones I see out. :(

I better not lose any of my domains.

That panel is used by other KeyDrive ventures like DD24 but it's much harder to perform bulk actions (that existed at Moniker a decade ago?). So it's not just a matter of bugs, this current CP is missing crucial features and it's cumbersome. I have 5000+ domains (mostly API registrations and Snap acquisitions), I cannot spend countless hours with trivial tasks.

Look around. This has been going on for years.

There may have been problems in the past, but what happens here is nearly unprecedented because of the magnitude of the problems.
I also got them on the phone yesterday (it took a while). "I have minimum 10 questions and remarks" I said in the beginning of the conversation. Lots of expired domains couldn't be found. Then the person I talked to said suddenly I seemed to have 2 accounts (in the new moniker not in the old one, => do know you get a new accountnumber) and in the 2nd account he found some of my missing expired domains that in the "old moniker" always were renewable at normal renewalpricing for 35 days after expiry. I didn't try to renew yet.. I'll wait 1 or 2 days to see what comes up here in this thread.
In any case => They promised to get all my domains back (and I asked to send and email where they state that, and I got one).
But still 20 just expired ones seems not to be found (luckily in the whois I still see my name).
Something else => When using paypal, you should put 25 USD minimum to add to a "balance", but if I enterred "25", and tried to submit, it changed in Euros. They said about that that this will be resolved also within 2 days.
Another problem => If you want an overview of your invoices and how you payed in the past years (something you could see in the old moniker) now you see NOTHING (they didn't transfer this info to the new accounts) , and there are other problems etc...
The person also told I have to use the new accountnumber to loging, because there are more functions that work then. (the couldn't say which ones).
I asked when the person could work. He said that now they will work 24 hours a day, because they get so many calls..........
Keep trying.

THE MAJOR PROBLEM (IMO) HERE IS THAT THEY MADE A MAJOR CHANGE (and not really for the better), WITHOUT PREPARING it and without thinking about all the the consequences, and WITHOUT WARNING US UPFRONT, OR GIVING US A TIME OF 2 MONTHS or whatever, to try a "BETA"-site and let us give feedback, before implementing it.
They should have warned the people IN ADVANCE, which they didn't !

ANYHOW => In that phone I was told that lots of INFO can be found at THIS LINK => https://wiki.moniker.com and I WAS TOLD that this is UPDATED INFO "about the "new moniker" (I didn't look yet there, but because they gave this info, and lots of people here don't get them on the phone, I share it here, so people can check this). (addendum/edit of this mesage => I just looked at this link and indeed some info about the new design and system can be found there).

I probably get back here if I have more information and to see what problems are occuring. I haven't a creditcard attached, for the moment. I'll wait for more reactions here.

A little bug or an isolated problem is understandable (ALTHOUGH SHOULD ALSO BE RESOLVED), but they indeed will have to do a lot to resolve the problems that lots of people having now.

There are some advantages to the new system. But I won't go into that now. I'll get back later on.

IF SOME OF THE PROBLEMS ABOVE MENTIONED ARE REALLY TRUE AND DOMAINS ARE vanishing into thin air, I guess ICANN / VERISIGN WILL HAVE TO BE CONTACTED. or a REGISTRAR (and registries, like the .com registry or other registreis depending on what domainextentions your Monikerdomains have) WHERE WE CAN TRANSFER DOMAINS TO WITHOUT BEING OBLIGED TO RENEW THEM IMMEDIATELY, so whe don't have costs in that case.

ANYHOW => MAKE PRINTSCREENS OF THE "WHOIS" OF YOUR DOMAINS THAT YOU DON'T FIND, AND PUT THEM INTO A WORD-DOCUMENT and save it as PROOF. (use f.i. http://who.is or another registrars whoissearch).

Did they even bother beta-testing this?
I mean being able to renew a name? (not even considering some of the many other issues they are having)...this should not be an issue if any testing at all was done....seriously!
