Who is causing the delay in propagation: Registrar or webhost?

Moniker somehow deactivated my domain name 1 month before its expiry date. I was completely unaware that this was part of their policy for international TLDs. So moving along now...

I have renewed the domain name but it seems as though my site's still offline. Nameserver's set correctly, everything should be working fine. So I'm guessing it still needs some time to propagate.

Is there any way to speed things up? Should I contact my registrar about this or can my webhost do something about this?

I don't really know why it's taking such a long time (already half a day). Most of the time, almost immediately after buying a domain name I get to set it up and the site's accessible immediately. So I don't know what's up.

I'm not a big fan of Moniker, I was just cornered into using it because it offered the international TLD that I had to register for a client.

Thanks for your help.

Have you cleared cache or tried from a different connection. Alot of times the end users ISP may also cache the resolution a bit.

You could go into the nameserver settings and define the actual nameserver IPs along side the record and check to see if any problems exist using a tool like IntoDNS or LeafDNS (cant post links)

If you test using IntoDNS or from another location and find it's propagating everywhere else but your computer, you can clear your local DNS cache (not just the browser cache) which sometimes resolves the problem right away.

In Windows XP, click 'Start --> 'Run..', then in the box that says 'Open:' type this command:

Code:
ipconfig /flushdns

A window will open, the DNS cache will clear, then the window will close automatically once complete. This command can also be performed from the command line in any Windows version.

Was gonna suggest the same thing. Flushing the dns cache usually fixes this problem.
