I have listed my first 2 domain with Namerific and it would be great to share your experience with Namerific.

My experience so far is good. I submitted 4 names and 2 accepted within 48 hours. Logo design was done with 24 hours after verification of the domain names.

Now I need to wait and see if the domain get sold.

Just share your experience with Namerific..

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Submitted 7 , had 2 accepted (I guess though that depends on the quality of the name and whether it fits in with their marketplace criteria) . Sometimes took a few days to reply, sometimes quickly . Definately speedier than BrandBucket . I also will have to wait to see if they sell . On the whole, positive so far .

Does Namerific actually make sales? That is the million dollar question. Namerific is a horrible name, so I have a hard time taking the site seriously.

Well, to be faster or to get more names accepted, doesn't necessarily mean anything, though its nice to have fast response time, friendly support, etc. I also got names accepted there.

But....as mentioned..... lets wait and see and if they sell any names.
With brandbucket, you can see that they sold many names. With Namerific or other places, i can't see sold names listed anywhere. Not that they have to, but as a domain owner you are more or less clueless about the success rate.

I guess its too early to share some "real" experience ( = SOLD !)

I recently have sold 2 domains via Namerific and have to say they are often very quick with a response when sending in names.
They just started, but I think they try really hard to optimize their website and also involving the domain sellers in that process. When you have questions or an issue the are always willing to help out and are quick in their communication. Nothing bad to say...

Could you please share those names and their sold prices? :gl:

I have yet to sell domain at Namerific, few accepted.
Instead of standard generic reply at BB they provide explanation in certain cases why domain declined, or sometimes offer to list at lower price.
Response rate is faster, logo design is faster and free and infact I was happy with free logo design at Namerific than paid design at BB.

They are number one in google for "brandable domains".

Zane's explanation is usually right on the spot and turn around time is much faster than BB.

Both BB and Namerific are very selective in selecting domain names.

It is always good to have competition because that will lead to better customer experience.

I agree with you Sids!
Don't get me wrong, I have a bunch of names for Sale on BB too and I think they are very professional. But last time I had to wait 7 weeks before getting a response on the names and that is way too long.
Namerific is indeed fast with response, logo design and they provide you with a reason why some names are declined. That helps for making up new names. The whole process from sending in a name till having it for sale often takes less than 2 weeks. It's good indeed to have some competition in this market.

my only complaint is the loading time for all 650+ logos

why do they have it set up so all logos are displayed on 1 page??

not very user friendly

:p

Vision I had a long talk with Zane at about 2 am my time, I was calling him to let him know about a glitch that came up with his mail server as we were emailing and then the last email did not go through. He was switching from CloudFlare to Go Daddy and it just took a few minutes.

When people talk about the sales on Brand Bucket, Zane tells me that a decent number of those sales were his. He was a seller on Brand Bucket and then worked for Margot for a year.

He has some different thoughts and ideas that are separate from Margot.

He said putting them all on one page is so that people will look. He does not believe any company looking for a domain is going through 35 pages looking at each domain. The belief is people will not even go to page 10.

You make a good point that it slows up the site, so maybe he needs to have lightning fast servers to accomodate that.

it would be better to have the names load a bit at a time so the user doesn't get to frustrated with wait times. also would be better to randomly mix the names so each time a user goes on they would see different names on top.

IMO

Some changes there.
When, around 1 month ago I submitted around 6 names, they approved 1 name, and for EVERY name that they declined they made a short comment WHY they declined any particular name. It was really really nice.
2 days ago submitted another 1 name, it was declined and the reason was standrard, "default", something like Sedo send us when the names where not accepted for great domains auctions.
Well, after my first positive expirience it looks so-so
imo

Do they only accept .com domain names? In my opinion that is kinda of dumb. There are many other brandable domain names out there that aren't .com domains.

if I were a startup and was using a made-up brandable name I would prefer the .com - its the standard

Has anyone paid to have a domain featured? Wondering if it is worth the money.
